Growing up on the impoverished, third-world planet of Dai-san-se-kai, Xavier and Z struggled to survive in a land where hope was a scarce resource. One fateful night, everything changed. Their planet was invaded, tearing the brothers apart. Now enslaved and forced to work in brutal mines, Xavier clings to a single purpose: to find his younger brother, Z. But as he toils under crushing conditions, Xavier begins to uncover strange powers within himself-echoes of the darkness that created him.
