He just didn't ever have the mentality for it. Being pushed into societies memories would do a lot on someone's mind. Most would be driven mad and/or give up. Saburo persevered. When he meets someone who actually tries to help him, Saburo is awe-struck. Saburo Kuroshi always wanted to fit in somewhere.
