This is the story about a young orphaned girl who becomes adopted by the dragon Paarthurnax and her journey of self-discovery and adventure while living under the wing of an ancient Dovah. This work is a work of fiction by a loving fan. I do not own the character Paathurnax or any part of Skyrim and/or The Elder Scrolls series that may be mentioned therein save for the initial concept of this story and some of the original characters therein. Sometimes x readers and fanficts of Skyrim are hard for others. I know for me, sometimes it is. My advice might not work for you, everyone is different, or you may disagree and find a different way that suits you. But, anyway, these are my tips.

The plot begins six years after the events of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind in 3E 433. Emperor Uriel Septim VII is assassinated as he attempts to flee from the Imperial City after learning that assassins have killed his sons. However, before his death, he hands the Amulet of Kings over to the person who would become the Hero of Kvatch, a lowly prisoner which Uriel had seen in his dreams, with instructions to "close shut the jaws of Oblivion." The adventure begins after a prison escape and with a quest to find a man named Jauffre - and eventually the illegitimate son of Uriel, the last surviving heir to the Septim throne, hidden away for protection since his birth. Ultimately, the Hero must stop the invasion from Oblivion and stand between the future of Tamriel and the Prince of Destruction himself.

Sissel and her family (sister Britte and father Lemkil) live in Rorikstead in 4E 201. Her family is abusive to her: her father drinks and beats her and Britte up when they don’t do what they’ve been told or when he is in a foul mood, and even her sister Britte, jealous by Sissel’s natural abilities, abuses her by beating her and making her do all of the chores as well as taking off the steam for their father’s anger. Sissel’s dream is to become a famous mage like Shalidor through furthering her studies at college of Winterhall. She hopes to run away one day when she has money and opportunity. Suddenly, Sissel’s journey begins with an unexpected attack on the town. She has to escape and survive the long and perilous journey to the east and then the Capital of Thieves itself while staying true to her dreams of becoming the next Shalidor.
