Natsu and Lucy get trapped in a cave and their only way out is to kiss. About a week or so later after their kiss, Natsu starts to ignore Lucy. Lucy gets upset and asks Natsu why he's ignoring her. Natsu gives in and tells her why he's ignoring her. Natsu was ignoring her because of the their kiss. Natsu and Lucy end up staying friends afterward. While Natsu and Lucy are still friends, Lucy has feelings for Natsu but she doesn't want to tell him because she thought that he wouldn't feel the same way about her. Natsu then develops feelings for Lucy and confesses to her. They both say they love each other and they start dating! They go on a job one day and on that job, there's some serious trouble that happens and it could possibly hurt Lucy or worse. Will Natsu be able to save Lucy before its too late? She entrusts the secret art of the magic to Lucy, taking Heartfilia under her wing. After a couple of years of training Lucy thinks that she is free from all of the pain that was caused by her once thought Minna but is thrown back into the clutched of Fairy Tail unexpectedly. What will she do? And her problems aren't the only thing she has to worry about. Something is brewing, and Lucy has no idea whats to come nor is she prepared... Why was she entrusted with this secret magic and what does Lucy have to do with all this? When Natsu and Lucy decide to go on a job to find and catch a thief, they have no idea what they are in for. When, as usual, the job ends in a disaster and they are trapped in a prison-cavern, Natsu and Lucy must face the fact that they are stuck. With no supplies to help them survive they must rely on the weekly arrival of food and water. But how long can meagre scraps support their ravaging hunger? As Natsu and Lucy's bond grows stronger and stronger, and they become weaker, Lucy must face the facts. When Lucy becomes deathly ill, the pair must find the will to survive while they hope for a shrinking chance at being rescued. But will being rescued be enough, of will their flickering hearts burn out.

This story is shown as a completely fictional future... Natsu has only lived by the rules they gave him, he's known no other way to live but by listening and following. Not knowing of the past. Lucy's life was more tough, her life basically on the lam everyday without her knowing it. Risking her life to find any life that could be out there, or it was just a myth. Was once 1-Nalu -sorry the summary didn't explain very much- This is a NALU fanfic...mature-ish. I don't own any character, only the plot. Inspired by the amazing book "The Giver."
