Routine. The entirety of every living thing is dominated by it, human or monster. Everything HAS to be the same. It was in this that you were the exception. For you everything was new, every time line a detailed altered in order to satisfy your sadistic desire for a new ending, whether it be only a few details of dialogue altered or something else entirely. Monsters you once considered family you now butcher and slaughter without a second thought, after all, that's what the Reset is there for, right? And all at once it stops. Your small hold over the Underground is ripped away from you and you are thrown into a dying timeline, monsterkind's final attempt at self-preservation. You're alone, completely and utterly alone. Except one. And he has a bone to pick with you.

In a startling post-apocalyptic world, society is divided into two orderly classes. The human race stands on top, untouched by nuclear war in the city of Chicago. Monsters are at the bottom of the food chain, confined to live in run-down apartments, minimum wages hard to come by, the backbone of the work force in Chicago. They often find themselves the victims of senseless violence, dropping by the dozens each day. Tensions rise and anger grows between the two groups, a civil war seems all too likely. And with humans and monsters so scarce after a nuclear war that ravaged the planet, they cannot afford anymore losses. All at once, at the wrong place at the wrong time, a human finds themselves thrown into the midst, and the fate of the planet may rest in their hands.

This is my first story so don't judge it to harshly. Spoiler's to the game undertale so read at your own risk. Warning sexual content,violence, bad language, and suicidal thoughts and or actions. You have been warned.

You will meet all your favorite characters hoping that they will spare you and help guide you on your journey back home. Tortured is a Sans centered fan-fiction that takes place during a genocide route.
