Donnie finally gets a girlfriend but feels nervous about going out with her. April decides to come along to help him. But what will Donnie do after he realizes that his love for her isn't quite what he thought it was. (Takes place in ROTTMNT)

April O'Neil: So, you wrote a book... Me: A long-ass book. April: A long-ass book! How did it come about? Me: Well, actually, I was just looking for a xreader story with an adult Donnie, where the female character is strong and independent, doesn't need to be rescued all the time, and isn't a giggling schoolgirl. April: And you didn't find anything? Me: Don't get me wrong, April! There are so incredibly great fanfics and xreader stories out there, and I ate them all up! But I needed a new kick and I wanted something epic, dramatic that involved the mystical powers of the turtles and their further developments. April: And then you started writing yourself? Me: The story came about on its own. In my head. And at some point I just had to write it down, otherwise I would have exploded. With the writing, it didn't become a typical xreader story with the "y/n" in it, because that had irritated me. I know that the "y/n" comes out of an inclusive thought, and I think that's good and right. Unfortunately it blocked me, the heroine in my story was too complex and too concrete, and so I gave it up, even if it was no longer a real xreader story. April: And now you're writing a second book? Me: Exactly. The sequel. I'm on it. April: Do you want to give us a little teaser? Me: Well, there's still Leo and his complicated relationship with my heroine. And in the sequel, he finds out that he actually likes rabbits, too. April: Yeeeah? Me: No, no - I don't want to give too much away! April: Am I also on board again? She love hanging around with him. Donnie felt the same way. They both felt they have a deep connection. They hung out a lot, talked more, have something in common. Donnie laughed more and more. Until that one night in Evelynn's room. Evelynn and Donnie were alone together. Having fun as usual. Show off their science, arts, dancing and music taste. But Evelynn tripped over her own feet.
