It all started in my Junior year of high school. That year was when everything changed, when everything that I've known about myself was no longer true. I was just a normal 17 year old boy. One boy, changed that all. He gave me love. He showed me hard time and times that we almost didn't make through. Some things brought us closer together, and some things pushed us apart. But I know, no matter what, I he will always have my heart. (This is book 1 of the levels series.)

I had never felt this way before, I had never felt the immediate butterflies swarm my stomach as soon as I saw them, but this was different. As soon as the new boy and his girlfriend moved to my school, I only expected to get to know them both just the same as everyone else, but I felt differently towards one of them. But it wasn't the new girl, it was her boyfriend Clay... I was gay and it wasn't something which I hid, I often attended the LGBTQ+ club held at school too. However it just had to be that the boy I had fallen in love with was already in a relationship, I knew I couldn't mess it up, but I couldn't hide this forever. I had no say in moving to a new town, but it turned out to be better than I expected. I made new friends, screwed up my chances with the guy I liked, dated two other guys, and fought with my family constantly. Sound confusing? Believe me, everything was confusing until I finally ended up with the guy I fell in love with when things started working out.

I dont like people. Never did, and never will. And I never dated, nor loved anyone. I never had the will to have the effort to actually love person, so why is this time so different? As we stood outside in the cold, my mind wandered to freshman year, when I promised to help Andy with something and he said that he would hug me, but it would be awkward. I don't think that he wanted me to hear that, but I did and I have thought about it ever since. It had been two years since then, and what I did next I have no clue how I had the guts to do. Hey um Andy," I said hesitantly,"Can I uh.. Hug you?" Ya," he said in a soft tone that I had never heard him use before. Before I knew it, I had my arms wrapped around him, and his around me. I could feel his heart beating against mine, and the warmth of being wrapped up in his arms. Here I was, in the arms of one of my best friends, whom I had feelings for since freshman year, yet reality had set in when I realized that he could never be mine. I liked him. I mean I really like liked him, but he just didn't feel the same way. Will Andy ever like Alyssa the way she likes him, or will Alyssa's feelings ruin their friendship? This is a very short story. That was the first time I saw them together. I originally thought it was some sort of fling and that I had nothing to worry about. Then I saw the way Kenny looked at her, and my stomach dropped. She never looked at me that way. In the four years that we were together, she'd never shown me that level of love. And it pissed me the fuck off.
