No one ever likes the student teachers, Frank included, but he always makes it a point to be nice to them. Frank is surprised when the student teacher walks in, he looks like someone he'd see walking down the hall, and he acts like a normal person- unlike all the others, who tried too hard to befriend the students, or to 'fit in'. Frank tries to make it easier on Gerard as he is clearly nervous about working in the high school, and they end up being good friends, but just how good of friends will they become? This description is awful, as is the title, but I suck with those, so I promise the book will be better! Haha

"God, Gerard," he moaned, "Are you that oblivious?" Frank watched him nod with a shrug. He rolled his eyes and continued nonetheless, "I really like you. I just wanna be fucking normal!" Gerard claimed to be as straight as a crowbar (wait... that's straight right?) and totally didn't have the hots for Frank. For gods sake, Frank was his bandmate, one of his best friends! Imagine the crap dating him would start! But that didn't matter anyways, since Gerard was, as he kept on repeating (gosh you guys are thick), as straight as a fucking lightbulb. And you know what? It's a real proof of heterosexuality to want to kiss your friend fiercely onstage okay? So that's what he decided to do. And that's exactly where our story starts. Frank thought Gerard was fucking hot (no homo though) and kinda wanted to kiss him (no homo though) and like.. fuck him (NO HOMO THOUGH). Actually though, he was openly bi, but like, he didn't want to date Gerard, where are you getting this from? When Gerard mouth-attacked him that night onstage, might it make him admit something - something he should've realized a long time ago honestly? Gerard's a mess. He smokes and drinks, and he's a miserable piece of shit. He could never find a job and never had much friends. Though when Mikey called him one day, he offered Gerard a job at the All Boys Christian private school just a few blocks downtown. When he goes to work each week, a student in particular starts getting on his soft side even though their love is illegal. WARNING: there is a lot of mentions of drugs, smoking, alcohol and things of that sort in this story, along with religion and offensive comments about Christianity (and I don't hate the religion FYI) If this triggers you in some way then DO NOT read this story.

Gerard way and Frank Iero have always passed each other in the hallway but never spoke a word to one another. They are both alike in many ways. Both loners who feel like they don't quite belong. Frank mostly spends his days depressed and alone. The occasional hurtful remarks from his fellow classmates and father wearing him down. Frank's family issues seem to swallow him hole which is mainly why he feels like throwing in the towel... permanently. Gerard lives to protect those he cares about. Though, he has a bit of an edgy attitude most people learn to respect. There's more to Gerard than what the outside shows. His brother Mikey and best friend Ray know glimpses of how he really feels, and how complications from the past really fuck with his behavior. But, their differences don't keep them apart considering these strangers are forced into each other's lives when Gerard finds Frank attempting to commit suicide.
