For millennia, the Galra Empire has plagued the universe by destroying civilizations and enslaving various races. The only threat to the empire is the legendary "Defender of the Universe" Voltron, a 328-foot tall robot warrior composed of five lion robots, based on their own elements, whose pilots are known as Paladins. At the crux of the war that ended with the destruction of planet Altea, King Alfor separated Voltron to protect him from falling into the evil Galra King Zarkon's possession. King Alfor sent the Voltron Lions across the universe to different locations to hide them from Emperor Zarkon. Princess Allura, Alfor's royal adviser Coran, and the Altean Castle of Lions were hidden on planet Arus along with the Black Lion. In the present, the Galra Empire's path of conquest and search for Voltron has led them to Earth's solar system. A group of space pilots-Shiro, Keith, Lana, Pidge, and Hunk-discover the Blue Lion and immediately get swept up into the Galran War. They meet Princess Allura, become the new Paladins, and reunite the five Lions to form Voltron, beginning their fight to liberate the universe from the Galra Empire. Book Cover belongs to me. "Check in there." A male voice says. "I'll check that one." "Be careful." Another male says. There's the sound of a sword being drawn and a small noise right outside your door. The door swings open and light floods your cell. Squinting, you look up to see a young man dressed in a red and white suit. In his hand is a matching sword and as you watch, it disappears. The man's eyes widen at the sight of you and he calls over his shoulder. "Shiro! It's a young woman." "What?" A man in a black and white suit comes over and looks down at you. "Who are you? Are you an enemy of the Galra?" You attempt to speak, but succeed only in coughing up more blood. "We can't leave her, Shiro." The red man says. "You're right. Carry her, Keith. I'll cover you." Keith nods and leans down to scoop you up. You cry out in pain as he lifts you up. "I'm sorry." He murmurs, looking down at you, as he hurries after Shiro who takes off down the hall. Unable to respond, you close your eyes, and let Keith and Shiro whisk you to safety. *** Captured and tortured by the Galra for a month, (Y/N) is unexpectedly rescued by two handsome members of Team Voltron. Friendships form and a passionate love blossoms between (Y/N) and a certain red paladin. But there's an epic fight raging as untold secrets come to light, old and new enemies step forward, and the war for the safety of the universe begins. Will (Y/N) be able to help her new friends and still be able to fix her own problems? And will she find the person she's been searching for?

After the fall of Zarkon and the return of Shiro, the Paladins -- along with Allura and Coran -- are in a state of comfort, enjoying each other's company and reminiscing fond memories. The universe is in a beautiful balance once again. Yet, what happens when that comfort is destroyed, and the balance is disrupted? What happens when one of the pilots of the infamous lions is kidnapped and used for the benefit of another? Lance knows that he's annoying. He knows that he's a flirt, and that his jokes are always terrible. That's why the kidnapping by the Galra fleet, didn't bother him all that much. His team would just be better off without him getting in the way of everything. He just slowed them down. The Galra need information. Every blow they shot at the paladins of Voltron, didn't seem to do much. The capture of the Blue Lion and its rider was what they needed to find out how to win against the pesky earthlings. Keith, Hunk, Pidge, Shiro, Coran, and Allura are worried. With Keith stressing himself out over the wellbeing of his kidnapped friend, and Pidge looking all over for said friend, the paladins of Voltron are not on their best.
