"I've held back every urge every time you've challenged me, every time you've looked at me a certain way, every time you smiled a bit wider whenever you saw me, every time you-" She cuts me off immediately, as if in fear of where this conversation is heading, "You're my lieutenant." I don't hesitate in response, "What if I want to be more than that?"

And then our lips touched, slightly but the feeling makes sparks fly. I felt the lump in my throat go away as he wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him. And I think everything just came crashing down like that. It was just that simple action that broke through all my defences. I was knocked back off guard, eyes wide and confused but I didn't resist. *** "I'll just miss you" I smile. He walks up to me pulling me into a loving embrace. I didn't want to let go. My heart was beating fast and I pulled away. "What did you want to say?" Luke asks changing the topic. This wasn't the right time to be with him. It wasn't the right time to tell him everything.
