It was a random occurrence and a phenomena. Matthew should not exist, and yet he does. Alfred accidentally stumbled upon him as a child, but it was not a memory he would soon forget. Matthew is merely a reflection of nature. He doesn't stay for long. His time is fleeting, because at the end of every autumn, he vanishes, taking the roses with him. Matthew will grow to the age of a young man, and live on forever with the roses, seemingly never aging after that. The two grow up together, but when Alfred makes a terrible mistake, he risks his best friend's life. Is it fixable? Or has Alfred already lost the one thing he unknowingly treasures? One thing is for certain; Matthew is going to die.

Angel Starlight is a normal girl who gets an opportunity to go on a yacht for a project. Angel meets two girls, who turn out to be the ones she's partnered with on her project. They go to the Forbidden Island and discover something magical. Jordan Griffin is a merman who has what all the guys at his school wants: money, power, and what he says at his school goes. His Dad owns the school and pretty much almost all of the city, so he pretty much gets what he wants. His Dad decides to give out invitations to a dozen students at every high school in town for a chance to experience the luxury life. Jordan meets Angel one day on his Dad's yacht and he immediately falls in love with her. He's excited that Angel is one of the lucky few who were chosen for the luxury experience. When they arrive at the Forbidden Island, he's excited to show Angel and the students the tour of the Island, while staying away from a certain area. The Forbidden Island is said to hold a dark past. Angel and her friends leave the yacht and accidentally gets left behind when the yacht leaves. So they have to find a way off the Forbidden Island but it's more difficult than they thought. They decide to go to the area where the dark past took place. When they dwell deeper inside, they discover something truly magical.

Canada, also known as Matthew Williams, is always being ignored. He is constently confused for his brother America, known as Alfred F. Jones, and beaten up by other countries and nations just to 'get even with America'. Everybody thinks Canada is a weak country, that it's never seen war, that its people have never died for a cause. Canada decides to not go to a meeting one day to help his air force practice in case of an emergency. When the countries and nations realize he isn't there, they find a strange book instead. They decide to read it and find a note on the inside. Will everyone realize that maybe some ignore Canada because he makes them uncomfortable? Or is it just because he is usually peaceful? The book holds many secrets about Canada, some probably should be left in the dark, but only if the nations react badly. Okay, disclaimer, probably not terrible secrets, but this will be interesting. But will reading the book really help?

Adam knows he's been there before, but he can't remember. One day while Adam is at the bookstore, he meets Regina who's the mayor of Storybrooke. He's very shocked because Regina and him look exactly alike due their raven hair and blue eyes. What happens when a family secret comes out. But there's a curse on the town which was cast by the Evil Queen.

The boat didn't carry enough lifeboats to hold its 3,000-odd passengers, but that didn't matter since the liner was deemed to be "unsinkable." One fateful night, the liner struck an iceberg off the coast of Newfoundland, causing the boat to sink and most of its passengers to perish. No, this wasn't the sinking of the Titanic. It's the plot of the novella Futility, which was published in 1898, 14 years before the Titanic sank.
