Schizophrenia. Is a chronic and severe mental disorder that affects how a person thinks, feels, and behaves.  It is a life-long disease that cannot be cured but can be controlled with proper treatment.People with schizophrenia are more likely to die younger than the general population, in part because of high rates of co-occurring medical conditionions.
