It's not the apocalypse, but it sure seems like it to Sophie ever since they took her. Enclosed in a room and only seeing one person for a few minutes a Day is really gonna fuck with her.

Sophie is kidnapped by aliens to have experiments done to her. The Alien in charge of her grew curious and began to like her. So decides to take her back to their home and keep her.
