A happy childhood, a so-so adolescence. Then adulthood arrived, and everything went to hell. And by everything, I mean it. Grown-up life is truly a wonderful, dazzling adventure! A job that drains your soul, stripping away any will to live while fueling a more or less justified homicidal instinct; depression knocking at the door with a lovely bouquet of red roses; and, last but not least, the remnants of a social life buried somewhere under my shoes. Not the ones I'm wearing now; those are slippers, big difference. I mean the other ones. The ones in the cabinet that I haven't touched in five years. Love can be destructive. It catches you, ensnares you, devours you, and if you're unlucky enough, it leaves you standing in nothing but your underwear before reducing you to ashes. I had made peace with my "and she lived single, forever unhappy but safe" fate. A house, one, four, eight, maybe twenty cats-to meet expectations-and a future as flat as a heart monitor that's given up the ghost. No joys, minimal suffering, because there's only so much a heart can take before it calls it quits. And honestly? Fuck it, I'd been through enough. ... But he changed everything. In the worst, most terrifying way possible. From this abyss, I may never climb back out.

'So....' Shane thinks to himself, 'is there something one could want so badly they would be willing to give up everything for it?' The answer is simple: Yes. You could say that he was only a few deja-vu's from reliving his whole life over again. Living between moments; Watching... Waiting... Wishing. But that was the kicker in all of this. Shane knew that if he had to relive the same six months over and over, he would do it all again without a second thought if it meant he got to see Ryan smile once more. Seriously though, why did demon hunting have to be this complicated? Fuck you bunny cat. Fuck you. ---- or, Shane and Ryan both believe in ghosts and demons. Due to their job description, it was only a matter of time before they actually stumbled across one. When Ryan ends up giving his life for his friend, it's up to Shane to try and fix things. Except, it turns out things aren't that simple to fix.

When people visit you every single day, it's hard to get lonely. Unless you're a ghost. Actual it gets quite annoying. In fact it's heart breaking when the people you used to love the most look straight through you. It's even worse when they blame you for their broken heart. Because they have no idea I'm dead. The Buzzfeed Unsolved boys have done their fair share of investigations over the years, both from behind their desk and out and about on location. This time, however, was different. Something was off, and Ryan had a feeling it wasn't just his fear of the paranormal getting to him. This investigation / camping trip made him feel incredibly uneasy and that sensation only increased when he woke up in the middle of the night only to find Shane wasn't there anymore. ~~~~~ [Note: This is MY version of Demon!Shane which explains the how and why of him being intertwined with an evil being.] {Bold letters are used for emphasis, underlined text is used for letters, scripts or texts, italics are dialogue going on in the head of the person's whose POV the chapter is in. /Both italics & bold used as complete sentences are for a character that comes in after the first chapter...\ In the case of some dialogue interrupting a script, much like in their videos when there's nothing pointing to who said the line, the text aligned to the left is Shane speaking and text aligned to the right is Ryan speaking.} (Got the idea for this AU when I was looking through many pieces of fan art of Ryan and Shane. Cas pushed open the door to Dean's bedroom and they stepped inside. He moved into the centre of the room, turning around to look back at Dean. "I forgot to buy you a birthday present." He said, his eyes twinkling with something that Dean had never seen before. Dean shrugged his shoulders, moving so close to Cas that he could smell the alcohol on his breath. "I don't suppose..." Cas tilted his head to the side a little as he spoke, his voice silky and smooth. "That I could do anything to make it up to you?" A smirk tickled at Dean's mouth as he looked down into Cas' eyes. "I'm sure I can think of something." Dean whispered, closing the gap between them. It all happened so fast. It wasn't supposed to happen, none of it. They were drunk, they were alone, and they were stupid. But nevertheless, it happened. And Dean had to live with the fact that he'd walked away from all of it, from what had made him truly happy: Cas. But now, 7 years later, he finds himself back at the same place where everything started... back at that cabin resort, the one where he met Cas for the first time. The place that started it all. Except... seeing Cas again isn't the only thing Dean has to worry about. Something is off with the cabin. He can't put his finger on it, but he's about to find out sooner or later.
