This is where I will publish all of my most helpful tips and advice for writing along with my own experiences as a writer and an occasional character profile, describing how I go about writing those characters.

I hope that this helps you become more active and aware writers, which is really more important than it sounds. You can't just write to write. You need to 抖阴社区 with purpose. Your readers can tell when you don't, trust me.

A lot of this is stuff I have learned over the years and most of it comes from other sources. I'm not going to list all the sources because I really don't remember even half of them. It has been forever.

I know that there are a lot of aspiring writers out there, and I highly recommend that you are looking for advice. all the time. You don't learn by doing everything the way you want, you need outside sources. So please, do yourself a favor and activeky seek to better yourself. For you and your readers.

Please look at all above-chapter pictures because a lot of them are examples of what I will be discussing in that section.

Without further ado, here we go.

"So... what about us?" he asked, and I looked at him, a bit bewildered. "What?" I inquired. "You and me... what are we, Sera? You know how you affect me. You make me feel like I'm losing my mind, and I feel incomplete when you're not around. I yearn for your touch, your scent, and everything about you drives me wild," he admitted, his words close to my face. I let out a shaky breath as I felt a warmth spread through my body. "Thad, I think you're getting something wrong," I began, but he interrupted me. "No, you're the one refusing to admit that you're feeling the same way I am," he insisted, causing me to fall silent. He was right, I couldn't deny the feelings i had for him. They had always been there, but they had intensified with his return. 鈼忊棌鈼忊棌鈼忊棌鈻♀枴鈻♀棌鈼忊枴鈻♀枴鈼忊棌鈼 In their final year of high school, Thaddeus and Sera epitomized the dream teen couple, envied by all. Fast forward eight years, Sera, now a skilled chef, found herself unexpectedly intersecting with Thaddeus, who had transformed into a bustling CEO of his father's company Whitlick and Co. As they reentered each other's lives, Thaddeus discovered an irresistible pull towards Sera, while she, fearing she'd only bring trouble, attempted to keep a safe distance. The Standouts - A Critique Contest by PAULAPDX (Summer 2019 Edition) by paulapdx

馃洃 - CLOSED until 2021. ***If you're interested in my critiques, you might want to check out my weekly newsletter for opportunities to get a personalized critique. https://paula.substack.com/p/coming-soon Does your work stand out in an overly-crowded landscape? Does your story & writing shine as far as: 鈽 - Concept 鈽 - Voice 鈽 - Storytelling The Standouts is a fun, but hopefully helpful contest that can give you a sense of whether your story resonates with someone who's got some experience under her belt. Great! But who are you to judge? Fair question. This is not to humble-brag, but I've been critiquing and have worked with story development for quite some time, and I've picked up a lot along the way. 鈽 - As an Ambassador, I work on content projects. 鈽 - If you look at my profile, you'll see everything I've published so far has managed to standout in one way or another, whether by leading me to become a 抖阴社区 Star; or by winning a Watty (twice!); or by being picked as a Top 10 in major 抖阴社区 contests (twice!); or being featured. All I'm saying is I'm no slouch. I'm not brilliant either. But I've got some experience around what can catch an agent, editor, or judge's eye, and I'd like to share that with the community. 鈽 - In another lifetime, I used to work for HBO in Development and at ICM (the talent agency) in their writers' department which means I understand how professionals quickly gauge whether or not they'll take a closer look at a work and/or make an offer. This kind of insight can be helpful if you're planning to submit your work or even just want to stand out more here on 抖阴社区. 鈽 - I used to provide critiques for three writers, all of them traditionally published. They seemed to value my insight. Read the RULES, LOGISTICS & PRIZES chapter for guidelines. All entries get a brief assessment of their first chapter, with winners getting more extensive critiques. Sound interesting? Give it a go! 馃槉

抖阴社区 Creator! Happy and proud. HIM: Staying the night? Not my thing. Hearts and flowers? Boring. Falling in love? Not anytime soon. Settling down? Off the table. Getting married? You're kidding me, right? That was me before the night we first met. Because, well, meeting a hot chick that made me hard just by looking at her was definitely not in my plans when I sneaked out of a woman's apartment after what was already a long night. Taking her home and getting her a chocolate cake, though, was kind of intentional. But falling for her? Boy, that was pretty much inevitable. HER: He came out of nowhere, literally. I was there, sitting on that bench, barefoot and crying and just getting my heart broken in peace and silence. Then he appeared, all mad and furious and sexy and tall and just drool-worthy! And just like that, despite my poor attempts of escaping him, he had me wrapped in his world. A crazy yet heart-fluttering world, that I have absolutely no intentions of leaving anytime soon. ------- Character development is a main theme in this book. It shows you how they both work on changing for the better, while trying to overcome the obstacles in their relationship and fight for each other till the end. ** Warning!! Some chapters contain sexual scenes, but there's always a warning at the head of the chapter. Do not read them if you're under 18.** * Also, please beware that this story contains a lot of swearing.
