Viggo lies to everyone and ambushes both Hiccup and Astrid. Seeking revenge he leaves Hiccup badly injured and takes Astrid captured with him making her his pet. Weeks pass by and no sign of Astrid is found anywhere. Hiccup on the other hand, who wakes up from a coma after communicating with her through dreams, worries when Astrid stops seeing him. Can he get her back? (Takes place in an AU world where Viggo took Astrid instead of falling into the volcano. Also. He's interested in her. The first version was discontinued. Night Rider - A httyd and Hiccstrid book. -Astrid's pov- 8 years. That's how long it has been. 8 lonely, cold, devastating years of my life that I will never get back. Every night I dream the same dream - every night the same day returns to haunt me over and over. That day dramatically changed my life for the worst. Why did that day happen? Everyone learnt to leave me in peace in the morning. Everyone knew my deepest, darkest secret that changed people's opinions of me forever. Everyone knew my arch enemy, but only 2 people know why he is my arch enemy. My friends still talk to me, just not in the same way as they used to - it's almost as if they are scared of me, or don't want to be associated with me. One day I want this to change. It will make more sense when you read the chapter titled: 'The little boat' near the end of the book, but the actual story is 60 chapters long.

You obey your master, servant." Hiccup Haddock the third, the son of Stoick the Vast, was taken away from his father when he was five years old. For twelve years of his life, he was forced to live with Viggo who works with a group of Outcasts all of which serve a much greater power. Viggo hated the child and took him only to get revenge on Stoick the Vast. He abused the boy, beating him almost to death multiple times, marking him with what he called ownership. Now, he's eighteen years old whose desperate to live his life. With so many people after him, his father forces Hiccup to stay on Berk until he finds a man whom he refuses to talk about. Hiccup begins to suffer from night terrors that make him want to stay along with battling his own mental condition. Things go south again when an unexpected traitor hands Hiccup over to the ones who want to destroy him mentally and physically. Meanwhile back at Berk, Stoick was furious rampaging through his house looking over numerous different maps. He was desperate to find his son. So desperate he would do anything to get him back. Little does he know, that not only the mysterious kidnapper is overly skilled, but also an old friend whom Stoick was best friends with for years.
