I'm looking for an artist to join me as a creative partner in developing this limited-series comic, "Season Of Destruction". I've drawn the first issue myself - you'll quickly see I'm not a professional artist by any stretch, but I wanted to have a promotional draft to show a prospective partner - something more dynamic than a black-and-white script. Think of this as a very creepy mood board dipped in blood. My reinvention of the vampire genre isn't a fun or tongue-in-cheek treatment - the principal figures in my story are murderers. They behave as such, and that menas this is a disturbing story. It's hard to find someone who can stomach my portrayal of a cult that worships Death. Due to mature content (95 percent horror, 5 percent nudity) not all panels meet �������� content guidelines. Note: I conceived this story in 2000, and drafted the first issue as a comic in 2011. At that time I thought my pre-apocalyptic setting of global turmoil, global warming and wildfires, disease and famine, were a long way off, and I wasn't sure where exactly in time to set my story. It's a bit terrifying to see the world I imagined for this story in 2000 is right outside my window in 2021.

My life is a flat piece of paper, filled with scribbles and sketches done by others. I have a pencil, but no eraser to create space to write. I see the paper, but have no will to grab ahold of it. I was getting ready to start my senior year of high school when my dad was offered a promotion in an ally pack. He was our alpha's younger brother. (In other words my uncle is the Alpha.) My dad did accounting and record keeping for our pack as a delta. One of our ally packs contacted him to be a beta in charge of pack records and accounting. His record keeper and his mate were wanting to retire. His mate was an OB/GYN nurse. My mom was the midwife assistant. She could become the pack midwife. This would mean we would have to move. I wasn't sure I really wanted to move. I loved the art program at my school. We get moved and the first day at the new school I meet my mate and he rejects me. He was the warrior beta's son and I was the record's beta daughter, and he rejects me. Ugh then in front of me he claims the alpha's daughter. I was devastated but I refused to show my emotions to him. The next day at I attend school I am claimed by an alpha as my second chance mate. This is when my life got interesting because I ended up using him as my muse for art. [if you expect everything to happen at once- don't. Have you ever had one of those terrible yet annoyingly pivotal moments? You know, that monumental fragment of time that flips everything you have ever known. That plot twist second that completely takes you by surprise. The one just before the storm hits and everything goes to hell. Yes? Because you see, that moment happens to be my whole damn life. It wasn't always like this though. I used to have a pretty mundane existence, happy to just get good grades and be around my friends. God I wish I could get that simplicity back, I'd never complain it was boring again. But I know I'm not going to ever get back my old life because well... I died. (Kinda) But I woke up. And I was thrilled, beyond grateful I wasn't dead. But then I realized that there was one minor detail that had changed about my reality. I was given the chance to live but it turns out I woke up as the villainess in an otome game my friend used to be obsessed with - Kingdom of freaking Hearts (I added the freaking in there for effect, it's just Kingdom of Hearts) Where, for the record, the villainess only has two possible endings 1) execution and 2) getting exiled. So Fate was like, "Don't worry, I'll save you. Here's a chance to live" and then was like "psyche, screw you. You're still going to die but I'll let you suffer a little first." So now, if only to annoy Fate by proving it wrong, I am determined to survive. I can and I will if I play by these simple rules: 1) Befriend Heroin 2) Avoid Aryn Edwards at All Costs as well as other capture targets And 3) Be the top student at the academy and become an invaluable asset to my Kingdom so I become indispensable, thus unkillable. I'm determined, stubborn, persistent and I will live passed 16. Fate made a big mistake setting me up to die. Since it threw this plot twist at me, I figure I'll return the favor. I'll be the biggest plot twist Fate never saw coming...

It's been some months since i talked to Darren. He really did upset me that morning. The fact is, im not sure it will be the same after this. I don't know if it was intended of him or just a mistake he won't redo. I have felt so lost latley, like noone is here to guide me in the Clearing, training. I haven't been in school for a half year and im slacking. A lot. I really hope things will work out. I truly do.
