My Daily thoughts and prayers..

I love the beginnings of stories. Whether it be a book or a movie, I enjoy the opening scenes the most. Because they hold all the promises of what is to come; unburdened by commitment or baggage. Beginnings are full of hope. This story is an exception. Because the beginning of it is a sad one. It's the ending, however, that makes this story worthwhile. It's been several years since these events occurred and I have spent the majority of that time contemplating how best to share this story. Why? Because stories are important and everyone has one. This one is mine...

she spent her whole life being told she was the reason her and her siblings grew up without a mother, therefore she grew up alone. She was much younger than the rest, the last baby always gets the short stick. her daddy had become much to busy on their ranch to focus on her. He had put all his devotion and power into his eldest children. she flew under his radar.. Behind her daddies back she may have found love, love that could soon disappoint. Although she was young, it didn't mean she was weak. she learned to grow up fast in a world that was crumbling around her.

If you were to ask me what if was like to fall in love with a cowboy, I would say it's like a wildfire. Once it starts, there's no way of stoping it. It burns you alive from the inside out. Consumes you, every part of you. At least that's how it felt for me when I fell for a cowboy, one who wasn't even mine and could never be mine because he belonged to somebody else and I'm left with figuring out how to put out this fire that is loving Kayce Dutton. Darkness and tragedy was all Wren Wheeler knew from the day she was brought into this world. The only good thing in her life was her older brother, Rip. The one who saved her from the brutal ending their mother and younger brother weren't so lucky to escape from. She didn't believe they would ever have a chance of surviving out in the world. Not until John Dutton gave them a second chance at life, just as long as they swore to never bring their past with them to his ranch. The ranch where she found herself a family, a sister she never had, and a love she swore she'd never allow herself to experience. Because that kind of love was never meant for a girl like her.
