Sam was gone, for good, Mumbo had killed him and he hadn't respawned. He was dead. Grian trusted in the kindness of the world and he opened up, but that was his biggest mistake. Because what if Sam wasn't dead? What if they had been tricked by a simple hack? What if Scar and Mumbo went missing? What if they were taken? Grian would have to find out the consequences of those 'what if's the hard way. A sequel to "Sam's Back", I suggest reading that first if you haven't already since otherwise this won't make sense. A YHS/Hermitcraft fanfic. Angsty. There's some mild Grumbo shipping but it could just be seen as platonic. Also Scar/Cub shipping, but only really at the very end and you can ignore it if you want. A long time ago Grian was an admin of an amazing server, but he was kidnapped from it, never to see his friends again. Then, he escaped, but everyone was gone. Now he's found a new group to befriend, but they don't trust him. Has he truly escaped his past, or is it bound to catch up to him sometime? Everything is fine, you make life-long friends on the server even. The glorious time you are having is suddenly interrupted by a sudden change of events. Everyone is scared, confused, alone, looking for some light to stand for. Some secrets are spilled in the midst of it all, personal secrets that people never thought they would be sharing. It's the start of S8, Mumbo and Grian have decided to base together with a couple other people. Throughout their journey through S8 they realise the moon is getting bigger and a lot new theories sprout in the server. In the process they find a new feeling that they've never felt for eachother. Grian was surrounded by the hermits, swords pointed. The boy frowned at the man in front of him, "I didn't kill him." His tone was clearly annoyed. "shut it watcher, we know your tricks." their youngest hermit who joined the server had left their server after staying a week. He was overpowered by his fellow hermits who had accused him of murder. "grian! that's grian!" the hermits who fled to find their youngest soon faced a replica of the shopping district. it was clearly deserted, yet somehow full of life. the missing hermit who they saw on a random window sill lay his head on a table, in each seat was an armour stand with different positions and different heads. this was his life for over 3 years. When Season 7 rolled around, Grian feels something isn't right. He doesn't know whether he should drop his "always happy!" act, or whether he should call for help.
