When human Pilot Holly Reed crash lands in the middle of an alien jungle, it derails her entire mission. Luckily, the planet of Cynabar is much more welcoming than it seems...

Holly intends to let nothing stop her from getting paid and setting out on another assignment for the Terran forces. That is, of course, until she finds herself caught up in the traditions of the unfamiliar Cynabarrian culture, and in the arms of a handsome alien prince.

Holly finds herself torn between an attraction to a man whose duties rival her own, and maintaining the life she built for herself. When figures from her past emerge, it becomes about more than just love: suddenly Holly's number one priority is surviving.

When Mandy loses her job, she thinks she鈥檚 hit rock bottom 鈥 until her plane is swallowed by a strange storm that sends her and everyone else on board 10,000 years into the future. At first, she thinks the scary world is nothing more than a bad dream. The war-torn Earth is unrecognizable. Black fog blocks the sun, and the oceans are dry. Even worse: the planet is inhabited by half-human, half-alien creatures dying from a mysterious disease. Horrified at the thought of spending her life here, she clings to the knowledge that there鈥檚 one man who can open the star gate to send her home. As the Naki prince who controls the star gate, Akkadi gets first choice of any human female that makes her way through the star gate. Only by breeding with purebred humans from the past can his race hope to remain immune to the disease and hopefully, develop an eventual cure. With shrinking resources and a raging battle for the human planet, dutiful, commanding Akkadi is less than thrilled at the idea of trying to figure out Mandy, a woman he views as wild with neither discipline nor respect for someone in his position. He鈥檚 ready to write her off, when she offers him something too tempting to resist: her body for the chance to convince him by any means possible to send her home. Neither intends for the arrangement to be permanent or to fall for the other. Only when Mandy learns Akkadi鈥檚 secret and walks away does he realize he鈥檒l do whatever it takes to keep her 鈥 even if it means losing his war.

A dystopian young adult novel involving romance, secret experiments on human subjects, and a group of teenagers' will to survive. Reader Comments: "I'm gonna gush about your book real quick...all the technology has a purpose and is beautifully explained so I can picture it in my mind...the whole concept of the book is completely original...*moment of silence for your beautiful arch of character development* everything your characters do is strictly them but they develop enough to show more about themselves without you straight up telling the reader about them" -Vairl9023 "Ahh!!! This is so good!! I will be anxiously awaiting the next Chapter!!" -CrystalBagot "Brilliant...ohh, this is very catchy, good work" -IndeeMaynard "I love this so far" -BrianneMorris "You've done a great job at creating a mysterious mood" -poisonedpen *** All Evita Creedy, 17, wants is to finish her degree and be accepted for a prestigious job with the city's Department of Energy. Have you ever had a dream where you find yourself in an alien landscape with two humanoid monsters staring at you? Me neither. Unfortunately, it happened to me in real life. With no memory of how I got here and no idea how to get back home, my options are severely limited. Even more so because these creatures look after me like it's an Olympic sport.
