Pandora Wallace, along with her twin Adam, is born into the iniquitous British society of 2035. This story follows the first 18 years of Pandora's blighted life. In 2015 the British government start micro-chipping babies, at birth, and then spend 14 years also chipping all of the adult population. In 2030 they abolish cash completely and all transactions have to be carried out via a human's on-board chip. This microchip is inserted into the heart wall of all acceptably healthy babies at the moment of their birth; the heart muscles powers the chip by recharging the battery. A second microdot 'PIN' is inserted at a random point in the baby's body. Should this 'PIN' become separated from the heart chip by any distance it causes the heart microchip to explode. The government is able to electronically disable or suspend the operation of anyone's chip at their whim, leaving the owner reliant upon the charity of others, or dead.
Pandora is born with a minor gene defect which precludes her from being 'chipped'. Following a family crisis, at 14 years old, she is forced out on the streets to join the vast numbers of 'non-chips' who have to rely upon charity and slave labour to survive, not being allowed to work legally or earn money.
Pandora finally goes to work for the underworld, determined to claw her way to the top and acquire an illegal microchip. She becomes a messenger at first and then her virginity is auctioned off by her boss. She becomes a high-class prostitute, a bodyguard and tangles with both a psychopathic killer and a government department determined to kill her and her boss.
Books 2, 3, 4 & 5r continue to tell Pandora's story, together with that of the ill-conceived Chip & PIN system.

I didn't like the other one because I personally thought it was a bit rushed. Even so, I hope you enjoy. Now, time to wing a introduction of this story! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It was a week and a couple of days since the hat wearing child saved the world from Mustache Girl. The Mafia were happy, some of them were still waiting for their boss to be gifted a new body, Express Owls and Moon Penguins were glad that no one died, besides them dying to help the child during their fight, Snatcher and his minions were at peace, but were still fighting with the fact that they were still up against Queen Vanessa who is still trying to take over Subcon Forest, the Nomads were glad to be safe from all of the trouble along with the goats from the mountains, and pretty much, everyone was glad to be safe. But that's when the real problems began. You see, Hat Kid had to leave with their best friend who's like a sibling to them, Bow Kid. The two kids had to leave to head back home. And when they did, everyone was heartbroken and a few people had returned back to their old ways. Snatcher being cold and distant, looking for number one(I.E, himself.), Mafia Boss was gifted a robotic body to inhabit for the meantime while dealing with pesky Mu, beating up his mafia men, and last, but not least, the two birds from Dead Bird Studio; Conductor and DJ Grooves. What is to happen if things fall apart? Like, Vanessa kidnapping Snatcher, integrating him on WHY he left her when he is HER prince which causes havoc on the other areas of the world. He was still, sorta of, weak from his battle with Hat Kid, trying to recover after the day they had fought each other and when the hatted child left for home with the bow wearing child, having finishing his Death Wishes, going on a cruise, and going to the Metro. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Starting time of writing: 4/5/2020 11:13 PM Finishing time of writing: 4/20/2020 12:19 AM

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. With Iron Guard, the resistance outside the walls, hunting the Purebloods too, will the trial save human race before it's too late? #3 in #dystopianfuture (27.06.2020)

~PARAGON CINEMATIC UNIVERSE: PHASE 1, BOOK 2~ *This novel serves as a direct sequel to Viper's Bite. I'd suggest either reading it or at least getting a rudimentary understanding of it before beginning this one, or you're probably going to get confused.* It has been 2.5 years since The Viper foiled Dr. Drevis's plan atop the Mercury Heights Space Needle. However, due to the events of the previous novel, her reputation has taken a massive hit; the government has officially declared her a threat and are now sending agents after her, with Vivian O'Leary and her superior Miles Burnstone at the helm. To make matters worse, The Viper begins experiencing strange visions at random intervals that appear to be telling her something---but she has no idea what---and they're beginning to interfere with her job of being a superhero. After she receives a cryptic call from her grandmother, who claims to know the true origin of her powers while discrediting her initial story as false, she departs Mercury Heights for the first time and goes to visit her in Honolulu to find answers, leaving the city under the protection of a newly-reformed Duncan Drevis and his partner, The Crawler, in her absence. Things get complicated after she is directed towards an organization known as The Opulent, who appear to request her help, but secretly have much darker motives. Meanwhile, Duncan and The Crawler have turned over a new leaf and now serve as the joint heads of a massive innovation company known as Lifeline Industries, which specializes in fields such as genetic modification and robotics design. After Duncan's long-lost sister, Monica, is accidentally mutated into the supervillain Shocker following an electrifying lab incident and goes on a massive power trip, Duncan and The Crawler must set out to stop her before she kills the electricity to Mercury Heights for good. 鈥 Cover designed by @Castiment

To ensure that they would be able to keep ruling the world, The Law started implanting chips into all its citizens. These chips called DEC, as Contained electrical current, it's an electronic chip that looks like a silver dot, these chips allowing The Law and any actual law enforcement to be able to track everyone. And it would help to keep everyone in line and stomp out any pesky notions before they manifested into something bigger, something dangerous. Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258!
