Well, would you look at that? The Great Zapfish has disappeared once more. At this point, that's not a shocker in the city of Inkopolis. What is shocking is that multiple idols have suddenly vanished alongside the Great Zapfish. Even the Judds have gone missing! With so many big players vanishing from the scene, Inkopolis has devolved into a crime-riddled city. The streets are unsafe, and gangs rule almost every part of town. With Inkopolis in such a state, the people will find their heroes in the form of two octoling brothers, Sal and Cal. Both have no redeeming qualities, and neither have achieved an admirable feat. They're a bunch of nobodies! Yet, they're Inkopolis's best shot at restoring order, as well as weeding out the sinister evil that lurks within...

REWRITING THIS‼️‼️ Octo expansion spoilers!!! Agent 8 has finally defeated TarTar, and has found herself on the surface. She bumps into an inkling boy in Inkopolis, and notice that the boy is Agent 3! Agent 3 was hijacked back in the Deep Sea Metro when she was trying to escape. He has helped Agent 8 regain her memory but her innocence behind the bitterness is vague.

When Callie is late to the Halloween party, Marie agrees to tell the others a story to kill the time. The story takes place long ago and is about a scientist that has no other dream but to create life. After many failures, he is forced to seek help from hooded figures that appear one night. He succeeds, but gets trapped in deal he can't escape from. A few months later, a shadow starts terrorizing the land of Inkopolis. It strikes at night, it's blade cutting down everyone that gets in it's way. One night, four travelers gather to stop the shadow, and go out to fight it. Inkopolis has just been saved once again by the Squid Beak Splatoon. Agent 3 feels suspicious about the new agent, agent 8, an Octoling. Being on many missions herself, fighting Octolings like him, she can't help but get the feeling that something about him isn't quite right. Agent 8 feels unsure and unwelcomed to the city as he is forced to hide his identity as not all inklings accept Octolings into their home. Not only that, but he also has a problem with getting along with Agent 3! But what happens if a mysterious, unknown threat comes toward the surface, threatening to destroy both Inkling and Octoling kind alike? Can the agents work together to save their race? Or would their city population be washed away for good? _________________ This story takes place after the events of Octo Expansion Hi and welcome to my 2nd book! First of all thanks for reading this and I hope you'll stick to the end and find the story entertaining. Secondly, I am a big fan of Splatoon though I am still a bit of a newbie to it. Most likely I could miss out on certain details so don't hesitate to point those out to me. I'm also open to any more suggestions to improve this fanfiction. Note that as I make and add new chapters to this book and gain new ideas, there are possibilities that I could make a few small changes to previous chapters. Anyways enjoy reading!

You are just an average inkling in Inkopolis Square, when you notice a strange person who changes your life. This story begins in Splatoon 2, but I will mark in the chapter list when the story jumps to Splatoon 3 for those of you who want to jump straight to that point instead. It's been nine months since escaping the Deepsea Metro, defeating tar-tar, and saving Inkoplois things seemed to have finally calmed down for the team. Agent 8 now free is now living his new life on the surface, working, going on missions, and his favorite thing getting to spend time with 3. 3 is enjoying spending time with 8, but after going on a research mission in the Deepsea Metro she notices 8 acting strange. She found him mumbling to himself, he's having nightmares, being more claggy to 3 than normal, and swears that she caught a flash of teal in his eye. It couldn't be that bad... till 8 goes missing. The team is on the case to find him but sometime into the search Inklings sharing some of 3's similarities are getting attacked and 3's apartment gets ransacked. It's clear 8 is after 3 and if he finds her, he's not letting her go.

I am Rex, the inkling, and this is my story of how I became agent 3 of the New Squidbeak Splatoon and saved all of Inkopolis. So, join me in this crazy wacky adventure. I don't own Splatoon, only the characters I made.

Agent 8 was scared of just about everything. Loud noises, sudden movements, anyone significantly bigger than her, any and all ink bombs, anything pointing a weapon at her, C.Q. Cumber, and that was just the tip of the iceberg. Who could blame her really? After what she'd been through? So it's no small surprise when Agent 3 discovers that she isn't on that extensive list.
