In the year 2022, a man invented something ground breaking, a device called NerveGear, that allows people to fully dive into a video game. This man, is Akihiko Kayaba, a man who secretly has a twisted mind. Sword Art Online is the most anticipated VRMMORPG game that was created for the NerveGear. One month before the full release of the game, 10 000 people were given the closed beta to Sword Art Online. One of these people were Y/n L/n, a player that would reach the highest floor out of all the other beta testers. Y/N L/N was a young man who loved to be in the virtual world. He would then play a game called Sword Art Online. But there was an incident. A man named Kayaba Akihiko would trap Y/N and the other players inside the game. They would have to survive in the game until they cleared all the floors up to floor 100. Y/N would stay as a solo player but he would meet some interesting people along the way. I don't own SAO it all belongs to its respectable owners.

Sword Art Online have been released to the public and a lot of people who bought the game enjoy a open world game where they fight monsters, gather gears and XP's and becoming the best players they can ever be. One of these Players is named Y/n L/n who has played many games and is shown to be a Pro in a lot of games. He is also well respected by everyone who played with him and rather help out players who have trouble of the game then mock them, he is shown to be the best and get exited when he bought the game. However the creator of Sword Art Online "Akihiko Kayaba" revealed that everyone is trapped in the game unless they reach the final boss. Every players went into chaos after that and some given up hope while some accepted their fates in their new home. However not Y/n as he desire to get every players out of the game and bring them home. Little did he know that his action will lead to him of saving humanity and becoming the greatest gamer hero ever lived.

With Kirito beating Heathcliff, a.k.a Kayaba Akihiko (who was also Ume's uncle), everyone was released from the game. But alas, that isn't where the story ends. Kirito and Asuna meet together in real life, happy as can be, only to find out three hundred players have yet to awaken from their slumber. Asuna leads Kirito to Ume's family's hospital and asked to see her. When they reach her, they expect her to be awake and send a sarcastic remark for not knocking, but instead, she is still unconscious and shows no signs of waking up soon. Everyday, they visit her, or Evey few days, but still she lays there, unmoving. Then, Kirito gets an email from Agil with a picture, and in it was of a girl with snow white hair and icy blue eyes and wings made of crystal. Kirito tells Asuna to wait for him, that he'll save Ume, and return.
