The Vytal festival has just started and students from the academies of the four kingdoms of Remnant arrive in Beacon for this 40th festival. The KNRD team has moved on since the battle of the port, and everything seemed peaceful. But when the Haven students arrive at Beacon, Night finds old acquaintances there whose presence is very suspicious. The young man and his team therefore decide to investigate the real reasons for their presence in Beacon.

The Vytal Festival is finally here! With the big tournament going on at Amity Arena; the giant colosseum floating over Beacon Academy; Kai is excited to see a lot of action from his friends and classmates. But when he becomes aware of the truth behind his abilities, as well as a conspiracy hinting at an age old threat to the world of Remnant, Kai realizes he has to take matters into his own hands. Would he be able to do all he can to protect his friends from the dangers they aren't even aware of, or would Beacon Academy fall to the evil that exists in the shadows... The Vytal Tournament has now started and the best teams from Remnant have come to compete. The mood is high and everyone is excited to compete and win, but something is lurking from the shadows. The Vytal Festival has begun! Despite being ineligible to officially compete in the tournament, Team STAR has their own problems to worry about. With Ozpin having his own plans for STAR and Cinder and her team preparing to make their next move, (Y/N), Bruce, Price, and Callie find themselves being thrown into an all out battle that will decide the fate of Beacon Academy!

Team RWBY and their friend are back and ready for their second semester at Beacon, an academy that trains the world's strongest fighters. But real life doesn't stop. Between classes and homework, they still have to find time to save the world. And between the White Fang, Roman Torchwick, and a mysterious new trio, they certainly have their work cut out for them!
