Since I really like Linstead and there is a lot that the two have never experienced together, I thought I could write it myself. It's an alternate start for PD. I don't own any of the original characters.

This story will be about detective Jay Halstead and detective Erin Lindsay from NBC Chicago PD. This story is about their everyday lives being hero's stopping the criminals of Chicago in the intelligence unit of the 21st district. This story will show the challenges that Linstead must go through everyday at work but also in their personal lives to get to where they want to be. These are not my characters and I do read alot of Linstead fan fiction so if something seams similar to your story I am sorry I am not copying, these are just the ideas that get stuck in my mind. Erin Lindsay has always had ups and downs going through life but she has Jay Halstead by her side helping her through all her ups and downs.

Erin works for Hank voight who also happens to be her father they work in intelligence together. Erin's boyfriend Jay is overseas since he is in the Rangers. Will he make it home her?

When erin and jay move in together, not as a couple, but as friends to help one another out, will things get hard when one of them brings home someone else, or will they realize they were meant to be just friends. The highs and lows, battles, fights, and tears will battle out the laughs, smiles, and love, but let's see whats next for linstead. Hailey Upton and Jay Halstead met at work when Jay and his then-wife and then-girlfriend Erin responded to a bank shooting. Then Hailey comes and is forced to get together. Hailey joins the intelligence and the two become partners, showing close best friends.

A freshly qualified detective joins the intelligence unit run by hank Voight, everyone takes immediate liking to her, apart from her new partner jay Halstead. She is a super sweet girl, only a year younger then her partner, but no matter how sweet someone is, there's always battles behind closed doors that no one can see... -Chicago PD-
