"Leave my hand, it's hurting."Tears welled up in her eyes as she tried to get rid off of his deadly grip on her wrist.

"Why? When he holds your hand you don't tell him to back off, Huh?" Tightening his grip on her, Murad seethed.

The pain which he was causing her was intolerable, tears fell down from those hazel orbs on her pale cheeks as she wished for a certain pair of sea blue eyes to come and save her from this tormentor.

"He is my husband! He has every right on me as I have on him." Hazaan yelled at him as anger started welling up in her body, slowly replacing the fear.

"Oh, Accha. Now, he is your husband then who am I to you? Did you forget what we had.." the words got strangled in his throat and a loud noise took place in the room making a pin drop silence which shocked the daylights of Murad as he never expected the timid, extrovert and bubbly girl to strike him hard, across the face.

"You were a mistake and you'll always be one! I was so blind in your trap which you called 'love' to not see a cold blooded brute."

Hazaan gritted out the words not knowing what the outcome of her honesty would cost her.

Fury and rage was all he felt towards her. He jerked off his grip on her and pushed Hazaan to the wall harshly, making her yelp as her head started throbbing in pain.

Murad wrapped his fingers on her throat and pressed his fingers more firmly which caused her to squirm in his hold for the oxygen.

His next words were not for which Hazaan was prepared for.

"You are mine Hazaan! YOU.ARE.MINE. If I can't have you then no one can..." were the last words heard by her before everything went black.

I whispered the last part menacingly at him, clenching my jaw as my eyes filled with tears. The way his face hardened and his eyes dilated, I assumed he heard me as a muscle in his jaw ticked. I lowered my pointing finger and wiped my tears furiously from the back of my hand, looking away. "It's good that you got to know about everything before this marriage facade got out of our hands. Now, you'll realize that you never had any feelings for me and it was just an infatuation." He scoffed, looking away. His adam's apple bobbed as his veins popped out lividly. "Don't you dare insult my love, Wali! My love for you was so pure. You know what? You don't even deserve it." I told him, swallowing the lump in my throat. âBhoot pret nikat nahi aavey, Mahavir jab naam sunavey...âž It was late at night, when I heard a knock on the window. I froze hearing the knock. Slowly, I got up from my study table and tiptoed toward my bed, trying to decide if I should check the window. But something told me not to, so I climbed on the bed instead. I'm not opening that window. I know how in horror movies, the main character hears some creepy noise and runs straight towards it. Like hello? do they not care there could be a whole-ass ghost waiting to jump on them? Another knock. I squeezed my eyes shut, gripping the blanket tightly. If this is how I die, I swear I'm haunting the ghost back. I was on the verge of running to wake up my parents when I heard a sneeze and then... my name whispered slowly. "Pratiksha." It clicked in an instant. Oh god! I shot up from the bed, hurriedly unlocking and opening the window. Before I could even react, he tumbled through and fell directly on the floor with a thud. I gasped in shock, half laughing but also panicking at the sight of him in my room. "How did you-" I started to ask, but he quickly clamped his hand over my mouth. I stared at him. He leaned in closer and whispered, "Don't make noise, or we'll both be in trouble." What. Is. Happening. ~~~ If overthinking was a sport, she would have won every time. He, on the other hand, one moment, he was the smoothest guy around. The next, he was doing something completely silly just for fun. Together, they were like a perfect mess. But a twist of destiny tore them apart. Six years later, they met again, the love that once bloomed was now buried under layers of hatred, from both sides. Could they move past the hurt, the anger and the six years that had turned them into stranger?
