After a rather rough breakup Zim leaves Earth vowing to never return, but when he succumbes to loneliness and the irken empire refuses to take him back he turns to the last place where he felt he might be able to belong. But after 13 long years Earth, along with the people Zim once knew, has changed and now Zim must live with the consequences. Humans were disgusting to one like Zim. Any Irken could see that the species was disturbingly stupid and possibly not even worth the time. That's why it suprised him so much to find a human who detested her own kind. It was a foreign thought to someone like him, a proud member of his own race. So when he too, starts to learn things about himself and his kind, he comes to love something he never thought he would. After childhood fights are forgotten, Zim and Dib Start to get along, but would Dib still expose Zim given the chance? And would Zim go back to Irk if he did? I will admit, the premise is pretty typical for this fandom, but I'm trying to put some interesting and creative spins on it!
