George hasn't had an easy life after being diagnosed with autism. Going to a public school as an autistic, highly intelligent boy, he clearly notices the differences between his classmates and himself, giving him a lot of insecurity and shame about his own behaviour. As his escape, he goes to a bakery for hours a day to calm his mind, but things change when a new boy who moved is hired. Unexpectedly, and for the first time, George decides to open himself up to the new boy, Clay, while at the same time, Clay slowly starts falling for his new best friend, George. Mostly fluff with some angst every now and then! ⚠️ I wrote this book from my own experience and my own mindset, as someone with diagnosed autism, highly intelligent and ADHD. I DON'T think people with autism are childish or cute, I'm not projecting a stereotype. This is from my own struggles with autism at a public school without special needs.

When George moves to America, he needs to get used to everything. His new high school, all new people, his whole new life. George is scared for getting bullied again. He hopes to make a new start, but unfortunately, people don't leave him alone because of his condition: severe stuttering. He meets a boy, named Clay, who seems to accept him. George feels comfortable around him and notices he feels weird around him. Happier and positive, but very confused. His feelings start growing and both boys try and keep this a secret. When George's long time girlfriend cheats on him, it leaves him in a state of depression. His best friend Clay decides he is going to fly to London to stay with him for a bit and make him feel better. But something happens between both of them. Will their friendship be ruined?

Clay had been closeted all his life and planned for it to remain that way. But, with having homophobic parents it was seemingly impossible to ever find the happiness he longed for. After being outed to the only people he now disliked the most, his parents react worse than expected and Clay falls into a pit of loneliness when he gets sent to conversion therapy to "turn him straight again". George had homophobic parents too and goes through the same. When times are at its worst somehow these two meet each other and now they are isolated from reality in the therapy school. It seems like they are the only ones left on earth, surely they were destined to meet one another. TW's: -Homophobia (conversion therapy) -Abuse

When Clay and George finally meet, there's an unexpected connection in the air. Everything's bringing them together, yet everything's separating them. Each boy wants the other, but they're completely different people. They just don't understand each other's situations. Are they willing to do what it takes? Can they conquer their problems together? (no smut: idk how to write it)

After Oliver's death, he watches over his boyfriend George as he gets pulled into self-destructive behaviours of grief and pain until one day he sees how one person can change George's life.
