Until he's pushed into a corner with a particularly tricky case, and ends up having to make his first face to face interaction. Instead they're met with a tired, young and rather huggable looking guy with eyebags holding a torn notebook page saying "I am L, and I can't talk" -- GNC READER. When the eventual lemon hits it'll be kinda alluded to an AFAB body (bc marketing to my main audience yo), but all pronouns are they/them and there's no descriptions of tiddies or anything. The detective was taken back by the question. Y/N never asked for much in life. A room to call her own, a simple routine, and a few goals to offer direction as she finished school. And maybe as few people involved in between as possible. Despite that, she soon finds that she's getting yanked from that quiet world and into a much bigger one that involves the fate of society as a whole. Perhaps the entire direction it would take in the future. When a series of unfortunate events leads to her being abducted as a potential suspect in the international Kira case, soon she gets more involved in a matter she already was avoiding thinking about a LOT more than planned. And a lot more involved with the people dealing with it. Ryuzaki, for one. Apparently he's the renown detective L? An eccentric guy, and impossible to read at that. Against her original plans, Y/N joins in this unsettling yet surprisingly entertaining case and its Task Force.
