This story takes place before Thor, so Loki doesn't know he's a frost giant and hasn't taken over Earth.

Y/N Njorddottir - The goddess of love, beauty, all of that nice stuff. She's able to make anyone she wants fall in love - one problem, however. She herself has a problem finding her own love, her mysterious soulmate she's never met, but has talked to for hours and days at a time. She also happens to be betrothed to Loki Odinson, the god of mischief, against her own wishes.

Loki Odinson - The god of mischief and lies. Brother of Thor, son of Odin and Frigga. Although he does not wish to marry someone other than his soulmate, he is being betrothed to Y/N Y/L/N, the goddess of love. He enjoys talking to his soulmate, whom he does not know the name of, and wishes to meet her face to face.

But what happens when they just *happen* to be each others soulmates?

I took his hands in mine frantically, causing his eyes to meet mine. "Then hand over the Tesseract and come home, Loki. Please." "I can't." He pulled away. "If I'm not allowed rule on Asgard, then I'll rule here." My eyebrows knitted together in desperation. "Loki, pleas-" My plea was cut shot as a burst of energy and the distinctive clang of metal on metal pushed me over into the god of mischief. We stumbled backwards until I laid on his chest and he grunted from the sudden impact. "Thor." I cursed under my breath. "Sorry..." I began lifting myself off of his body. I narrowed my gaze and quickly stood to rush into Thor's aid, ignoring his dejected expression. I was about to leap off the cliff side when I heard four words that had me frozen in my place unlike anything my powers could do. "I still love you." ___________________________________________ (Y/N) 脥sveig thought she'd made peace with Loki's death. She couldn't bring herself to forgive him for everything he had done, obviously, but she was finally beginning to live the life she always wanted. She was no longer deemed future queen of Asgard, and she was slowly learning to control her amplified ice powers. That is, until the god of mischief decides to attack New York and steal the Tesseract. Now (Y/N) must again face her inner demons as her powers quickly deem too much for her to handle, and all her feelings for Loki resurface even though she forces herself to see him as the enemy. Only time will tell if her, along with the Avengers, can put a stop to his schemes, or if New York will ultimately be engulfed by a thick layer of snow, ice, and death. ___________________________________________ BOOK 2 in the Loki x (Y/N) 脥sveig series. Check out Frost Giants (Loki x Reader) first! DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT own any of Marvel's The Avengers characters, plot, or world; by no means am I profiting from this. I only own (Y/N) 脥sveig.
The Queen of Jotunheim by SindianStar
39 parts Complete Mature
What if the war that Thor started between Jotunheim and Asgard had been stopped before it started? What if as a result Thor was never banished to Midgard and Loki gained more respect? What if this outcome not only changed the future but also the past? What if all this happened, because of one change? Following Loki's perspective, we find ourselves in the setting of the first Thor movie, with one key difference. Jotunheim is not ruled by King Laufey, but instead by an unknown Queen. When Thor's reckless action that originally would have started an all-out war between the realm of Jotunheim and Asgard does not have the same results, the fate of both realms is forever altered. As history suddenly takes a dramatic turn, Loki, the prince of Asgard who is often overshadowed by his brother Thor, suddenly gains more recognition and praise from his parents, King Odin and Queen Frigga, as he takes the initiative in this new peace with the Frost Giants, while Thor grows resentful of being in the shadows for the first time. When the new ruler of Jotunheim, a powerful and mysterious queen, reveals herself from hiding, it creates a shift in the dynamics between the Asgardians and Frost Giants. This new Queen might hold the key to both the future and the past, and as doors to new possibilities and diplomacy are open, long-forgotten secrets and buried truths begin to surface, threatening not only to shatter the illusions of peace and stability but also the trust and bond between Loki and his family. In this world of trust and betrayal, lies and truth, peace and war, Loki must navigate the fragile balance between his own desires and the fate of the realms, and as new alliances are made and old enemies resurface, Loki will find himself on a journey of self-discovery that will force him to face the twisted story between Asgard and Jotunheim and his true identity. {SET BEFORE THE EVENTS OF 'THOR'} - "Did you know," she said, sitting on the ground and turning to the prince, "that Midgard has an entire language dedicated to flowers? Each of them mean something else. It's a very sweet way they can express emotions to each other." Loki laughed quietly. "Midgard can truly be backwards at times, but they are amusing." He nodded to the flower she had just essentially brought back to life. "What does the gardenia symbolize in this language?" "Young love," she answered after a moment of hesitation. "Secret love." Loki felt something flutter in his chest. - Arranged marriages are something out of Shakespeare and ancient history. At least that is the thought of Loki Odinson, but his father clearly has other plans. In a political move aimed to unite Vanaheim and Asgard, Loki is betrothed to the youngest daughter of the royal family of the neighboring realm, Vanaheim. Loki, who doesn't even know if he believes in love at all, finds himself in a very odd position, especially because he's met his betrothed before. A marriage date is set, but both the bride and the groom are less than satisfied. Can love grow out of circumstance?
