A six-year-old Iwaizumi Hajime meets the new neighbors when he shatters one of their windows while playing baseball. More specifically, he meets Oikawa Tooru. Tooru becomes a childhood friend Hajime will never forget as they grow older together. Through all the highs and lows of their school lives, they've been able to stay by the other's side. However, what happens over the course of their last year of high school and the rest of their lives proves particularly tough for the pair as feelings bubble to the surface. Will they be able to focus on themselves and be happy together, or will one's spotlight prove fatal to their lifelong connection? How will one renounce the idea of us?
