Grian's life was shattered into a million pieces a long time ago. So long ago, he didn't know whether it was ever even whole. When he joined Hermitcraft after running away from the Watchers, it was starting to come together, until season eight began and his life was thrown into chaos. The Watchers were there, and he didn't even know if they were good or bad anymore. He didn't know who to be scared of. And he was forced to question everything in silence, finding refuge only in his magic. And unfortunately for him, things don't always go the way he might have expected - not that he really had any expectations, anyway. There is some mild swearing. (The cover is literally just a picture of a galaxy about 140 million light years away taken by NASA) Total word count: approx. 40,000

Grian is cursed, or at least, that's what it seems. Trapped against his will to play a cruel game and sacrificing himself for his friends, Grian knows little of happiness. Now forced to throw away his very humanity itself, he must learn to become one of the very beings that toyed with both him and his friends. Will the games ever end, or is he fated to a life of pain and anguish until the bitter end? Note: this contains a lot of angst. There are also a few scenes with blood, but nothing too graphic. (I'm pretty squeamish when it comes to blood myself). What if Xisuma and Evil X were taught under Grian to become admins? What if not so long after Grian joined hermitcraft, the watchers came and took him to help their cause, with Evil X being taken as well? And so, he ran again, using his Watcher powers he always feared so much to his advantage. Grian landed in Hermitcraft, where he was finally free to be himself.. kind of. Some hermits never trusted him much, others welcomed his company. However, they were absolutely terrified of Watchers. They *hated* watchers. When Season 7 rolled around, Grian feels something isn't right. He doesn't know whether he should drop his "always happy!" act, or whether he should call for help. A long time ago Grian was an admin of an amazing server, but he was kidnapped from it, never to see his friends again. Then, he escaped, but everyone was gone. Now he's found a new group to befriend, but they don't trust him. Has he truly escaped his past, or is it bound to catch up to him sometime?
