'You can't just leave me and then come back a year later and assume nothing's changed!' I turned angrily to him. We were running out of Alley, I was practically running, I was so furious.

'I thought you loved me, did those ten months mean nothing to you?' He spat at me. I froze in my tracks.

'They meant everything to me!' I turned and yelled, wiping tears from my face again.

The war is over. Edith Falconer should be relieved that she can finally come out of hiding and carry on with her life as normal.

But what is normal? So much was lost during the war. Good friends have died and almost her entire family is gone, she's not quite sure where her place in the world is anymore. And now George Weasley, the one man she thought she could depend on, is nowhere to be found. At least she's able to go to Healing school, that was her dream, after all. But now, it's a distraction from reality as well.

When George suddenly returns and threatens to upset the delicate balance of her life, she's forced to deal with not only her own losses, but his as well.

Were the feelings that developed during their period of isolation real or was it all just a clever illusion? Will George even stay, or will being back prove to be too difficult? And will an unexpected event threaten to destroy them both?

The third and final instalment of The Healer Series. It's not necessary to read the first two parts, but it will make a bit more sense if you do.

All characters belong to J.K. Rowling.

I don't own these characters they belong to JK Rowling. In the aftermath of the Second Wizarding War, Hermione Granger returns to Hogwarts alone. While the rest of the world celebrates victory, she silently battles the scars left by torture and trauma-wounds visible only in the bandages she refuses to remove and the nightmares that haunt her sleep. Abandoned by Harry and Ron to their Auror training, Hermione finds herself increasingly isolated, until an unlikely connection forms with George Weasley, who bears his own invisible wounds after losing his twin. As their tutoring sessions evolve into something deeper, Hermione begins the slow, painful process of rebuilding herself from the ashes of war. But darkness lingers in the wizarding world. When Hermione uncovers disturbing information about the Ministry's treatment of returning Slytherin students, she's drawn into a dangerous investigation that forces her to confront her former tormentors-including Draco Malfoy, whose presence triggers memories she's desperately tried to bury. As Hermione navigates her growing feelings for George, she finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Draco as well-a complex attraction built on shared trauma and unexpected understanding. Caught between the comfort of George's steady warmth and the dangerous pull of Draco's complicated redemption, Hermione must untangle her own heart while the world around them threatens to unravel. With evidence mounting that Death Eaters are regrouping under new leadership, Hermione must navigate complex moral territory, questioning whether justice can exist alongside vengeance, whether understanding can coexist with trauma, and whether love can bloom in soil still toxic with the residue of war.
