Before the Great Calamity, Zelda and Link travel amongst Hyrule together. They must learn to tolerate each other on their journey. Zelda, having barely been able to leave the castle much before him, discovered her sense of adventure when she went out with Link. Is it possible that the two of them harbored a secret admiration for each other than ran deeper than friendship? Or would Link maintain his silence and not speak to the princess at all? This story flashes back from before and after the Great Calamity. What happens after Link defeats Calamity Ganon? This story is very long, but if I do say so myself, I think it's worth it! There will be a sequel. Contains spoilers. I DO NOT OWN THESE CHARACTERS OR ANYTHING/MONOLOGUE THAT HAPPENED IN THE GAME, it belongs to Nintendo. This is a story about a princess named Zelda and her envious stepmother, Queen Midna. One day, when her stepmother finds out through the Mirror of Twilight that her stepdaughter is the fairest woman in the land, she orders a huntsman to kill the beautiful princess. However, the huntsman refuses to do so and the princess finds refuge in the Kokiri village with a tribe of children from the Forest and ends up meeting the love of her life, a young man who inhabits the village, named Link. But her stepmother, knowing that Zelda still lives, will do anything to get rid of the young princess. Will Zelda and Link be able to live their romance? And what dark secrets lie behind the Mirror of Twilight and the Queen's envy? Based on the classic fairy tale by Brothers Grimm and the animated movie by Walt Disney. All characters mentioned in the fanfic are the intellectual property of Nintendo and this is purely fan-made entertainment from fan to fan, with no lucrative means. For years, Zora princess Mipha has harbored romantic feelings for a certain Hylian Champion, even to the point of handcrafting a set of armor with extreme significance to her culture in hopes he felt the same. However, she soon realized how friendzoned she was when Link announced his engagement to another, Princess Zelda of Hyrule. Unwilling to destroy such a symbolic item of her people, Mipha's wishes turned to repurposing the armor as a gift of alliance. But with surmounting political pressure within Hyrule Castle, what started as the thought of a simple proposal had become extremely difficult; especially after learning something about Zelda shortly after the unrecognized marriage. With the omens of the coming Great Calamity happening more and more frequently, supporting her long-time friend and soon-to-be-ally, his newlywed wife and their kingdom just might require Mipha to rededicate herself to fighting battles for a man who would never love her back. This is a fairytale AU retelling of Cinderella with Zelink! Yes this is Dual POV I switch between Link and Zelda :) Zelda is a girl who had lost her mother at a young age. Her life was flipped upside down by not only her mother's death but with her father remarrying a woman named Morissa. Zelda didn't realize how awful her new stepmother would be. She became a servant to her and her new stepsisters as she was forced to complete every task handed to her without complaint. But something doesn't feel right to Zelda, there is something going on that she can't quite figure out. Link is a prince who has been reminded by his father, the King of Hyrule, to find a wife before his nineteenth birthday. Link is having none of that. He really didn't understand why he had to get married so soon, he wanted time to find someone he loved not someone he had to pretend to love. He sneaks out of the castle every now and then, not completely unattended. Sometimes his appointed knight Sheik catches him in the act and follows him. Will Link find what he's looking for? I don't own Zelda, Link, or any Nintendo characters! I only own OC's that I make up! This is strictly for fun and because I want to write it!
