It started out as a friendship. Then a partnership. Now Arkin doesn't want to let you go. Ever. Can you escape his clutches? Would you even want to? The lights were dancing as the club music plays. I turned around but I keep seeing the same crowd of people dancing to the music as the beat drops. I felt suffocated as I try to claw my out of the mob. I feel like I'm going to pass out-No, I am going to pass out. The ground was wobbling, my head was pounding and dark spots started to cover my vision. The last thing I saw was a man staring straight at me, standing in the middle of the crazy pack. He somehow looks familiar. Wearing a black three piece suit, his dark brooding eyes were staring straight at me. "Save me." He whispered before darkness completely consumed my vision...

I woke up in a room I didn't recognize, my fingers tracing the rough fabric of a bedspread that wasn't mine. The air was thick with something unfamiliar, and every small difference in the space set off alarm bells in my head. My heart raced as I scrambled for the door-locked. Panic clawed at my chest. Then he appeared in the doorway, his smile crooked, his eyes dark with intent. He spoke no words, but his presence alone screamed danger. Every exit was sealed. Every attempt to call for help met with eerie dismissals from voices that seemed in on the nightmare. And as he handed me a letter-a love note scrawled in childish handwriting-I realized this wasn't just a kidnapping. It was something far worse. I don't know who he is. I don't know what he wants. But I do know one thing: I need to escape before it's too late.

My hand slaps against my mouth as I try to shut myself up. Don't make too much noise...or he'll hear you. A vehicle's door opens then slams shut. I don't hear footsteps...but as the minutes go by I begin to hear them; the footsteps get louder and louder and louder, matching the sound of my thundering heart. That's when I see his shadow cast over the ditch...over the place where I tried to hide. "Well," he says with a smile in his voice. "I wonder where he could've gone...the footprints stop here...so I wonder if he just...disappeared?" My body begins to tremble. I can feel it now. The pain. I can feel the pain already. He jumps down into the ditch...he stands directly in front of me, with his back facing me. My hand presses harder against my mouth as I try to suppress my whimper, but it's way too late now. But his body tenses up when he hears it. He laughs bitterly as he turns around slowly, and his eyes cut through my camouflage easily. "There you are."

A new school year in high school awaits you! You're excited! New friend's! New classes! New Teachers and other stuff! ... "CLOSE THE DOOR!" "I-I- I can't!" I managed to whisper back, barely audible. I waited. I didn't hear anything. I dared to take my eyes off the thing, still keeping my light on it, and look up as far as I could without moving my head. I saw a tentacle, black and white striped, snaking out of the hole in the ceiling, and moving across towards the doors. A white face with black streaks like tears shone down on me, with black holes for eyes, with two little white lights like eyes in them, and a smiling mouth that had the sharpest teeth I'd ever seen. Suddenly, a pounding came from the doors and I flinched- the light fell from my hand and spilled flickering light on the doors. My heart was pounding and felt like it would explode out of my chest. I looked back at the ceiling, and two white eyes glittered at me in the dark.

She was as cold as ice. She never showed a smile. Her eyes were a soulless black, just like her hair. She had one friend. He was the friendliest of them all. Except, he really wasn't her friend. He loved her. He yearned for her. He wanted her for himself. He would kill anyone if they touched her. I looked at him fear soon enveloping me. My heart starts pounding, my palms become sweaty, I feel my face lose its colour as I become pale. I beg him to stop, I cry out in vain.
