Aurora Hill is an up-and-coming R'n'B singer/dancer who also happens to be part of a rapper Ja Rule's entourage. Aurora is sweet and kind but with a wild side to her, you don't want to cross this girl for real, if you know what's good for you that is. That being said, she is loyal to a fault to those she loves and trusts. Like Jeffrey Attkins, a.k.a. Ja Rule who is responsible for giving her a singing career in the first place. Aurora and Jeffrey are real good friends, and she's supportive of everything that he does. Even this silly beef that is currently going on between Ja and these other two rappers, 50 Cent and Eminem. But when Ja Rule crosses a dangerous line trying to get Eminem to respond to one of his diss tracks, and the angry white rapper finally retaliates, it's the poor Aurora that somehow finds herself caught in the crossfires... Haven Mathers is the oldest daughter of Marshall Mathers, better known as Eminem, Slim Shady, the white guy from D12, and so on. She was the result of an affair Marshall had when he was young, but he still loved her all the same. She was his baby, and as she grew up, he was her best friend. When Haven hit the age of eighteen, she had to travel everywhere with her father because Kim didn't want her around. Kim claimed to love Haven as her own, but obviously that wasn't true. She traveled with him for two years, before she decided she wanted to get out on her own. Being the daughter of famous rapper, Eminem, she had to move to a place that she'd less likely get mobbed every time she went to a store or restaurant. Being on tour with him for two years made her a lot more recognized and pretty much famous than the rest of her sisters. It was a blessing and a curse; a blessing to rub in Kim's face, but a curse because Haven wanted to be normal sometimes. Anyhow, the young girl decided to move to Charming, California. The only people who knew where she went was her father and her sisters. Nobody else was allowed to know, and she liked that. She didn't expect that living in Charming would put her in a completely different lifestyle, but she also still had to deal with the fame and recognition from her father's fans, but also the criticism about her family, especially her father, in the news and to her face. It was a pain, but one man started to make it better. Things don't turn completely as planned when her father finds out about him, especially when he learns that the man is the same age as him. He gets angry, but he'd do anything for his girls, so would he really hurt her for being with the man?

Jordyn and Marshall first meet on one of those days Marshall is desperately trying to sell copies of his debut album Infinite, vending on the streets of Detroit, standing right next to his beat down hand-me-down Honda his mom had passed on to him. Jordyn is trying to make it in the music industry as well. She wants to make it as a singer. So, the two of them meet, eventually realize that they have a whole lot in common, and are both there for each other along their journeys to make it big, as well as everything else on between, eventually becoming best friends, then going from friends to lovers, but so many things get in their way right from the get go. Like Jordyn's trust issues with men, Marshall's extremely complicated relationship with his baby's mother, Kim, the fame that one of them acquires way quicker than the other, as well as even more stuff that follows along down the line. Drug addiction, fame, groupies, love, hate... Will all those things eventually tear them apart, or bring them even closer together?! Who the hell knows... Marshall Mathers is a 37 year old hip hop legend, who had just began his career comeback after battling a drug addiction. After his second divorce he has sworn off of relationships and devotes his energy to raising his three daughters and his career. His belief being that no one will ever be able to get to know Marshall, all they will ever see if Eminem. At the urging of his two best friends Denaun Porter and Royce 5'9, he ventures online into one of his most popular fan forums. The guys decide to create an account and troll the forum after they notice a lot of bashing of Eminem's latest release "Relapse". He soon becomes intrigued with a certain poster who stands out from the rest. Will Lilly be able to pull herself out of her self imposed lonely life and find love again? Will Marshall find someone who actually likes him for himself and not his alter ego Eminem?

The year is currently 2003 and The Source Magazine has just unveiled an Eminem racist tape, a song where he can clearly be heard rapping disrespectfully about black women. Eminem goes on national TV and apologizes, stating that the song in question was made back in 1989 when he was only 16 years old and was in response to him dating a black girl that had cheated on him and broke his heart. Eminem's PR team thinks that him merely apologizing is not enough to salvage his public image, so Paul Rosenberg gets a bright idea to locate Nikki, the girl whom the song was supposedly about and publicly reunite her with his client, and have Nikki say that she understands where Em was coming from and that she forgives him. Nikki however has other plans. All she really wants is to set the record straight once and for all... This story would take place constantly alternating between the year 2003 which is the current time it takes place, and the year 1989 where it had all began... They say that opposites attract. And it couldn't be more true when it comes to Juanita Monroe and Marshall Mathers. Juanita is a shy girl with a huge personality flow. She was always a people pleaser, you see. Doing stuff she didn't necessarily want to do just to make others happy and bring a smile to their face and brighten up their day.
