After creative differences led to Lindsey's departure from Fleetwood Mac in 1987, the Buckingham family - which has expanded with the birth of their daughter Sara in 1988 - has been laying low. Stevie's solo career has been thriving, and they have been raising two teenagers and a very rambunctious and creative and different little girl, Lindsey at home in his studio happily being a stay-at-home dad and making his own music. But when MTV approaches the band for a televised reunion concert and a subsequent tour unfolds, Stevie and Lindsey must navigate not just a resurgence of their careers in middle age but the perils of parenthood - as well as a late-in-life visit from the stork - and somehow keep alive the spark, the love, the undying passion that makes them Buckingham Nicks.

Stevie Nicks is on tour in the fall of 2022...and so is Lindsey Buckingham...separate solo tours because it's been five years since they've spoken...five years since the incident at MusiCares put an end to their years-long affair across two Fleetwood Mac tours...five years since Stevie has been driving everyone around her crazy working overtime to try to fix her broken heart... When Lindsey is forced to cancel the remainder of his European tour due to "ongoing health issues", Stevie decides that enough is enough. ***A sequel to "Kind Of Woman"... 1982 is a very difficult year for Stevie as she deals with heading out on tour with Fleetwood Mac to promote the Mirage album, working on her second solo album, The Wild Heart, and the resignation that she is losing her best friend to leukemia, only after she discontinues treatment to leave behind her miracle baby. All the while, Lindsey has made his intentions clear: He wants Stevie back and has made every attempt to tell her he loves her, but according to Stevie and her wild heart, "it's a shame that he wanted her" because "he didn't try." ***A sequel to Over My Head"*** Tensions run high as Stevie and Lindsey, newly engaged, head back into the studio to continue the work they began in Sausalito on the Rumors album, before they mended their relationship and promised each other forever. Will these tensions tear them apart again or will they decide to hold onto "what they had" before it becomes "what they lost"?

Stevie and Lindsey are finally getting everything they dreamed of. Set in early 80s-ish. Timelines and facts may be fudged a bit, but I chose with whatever I thought went best!!

***In the real-life world of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham*** It's Friday, May 26, 2023, and Stevie is 75. With her recent touring schedule, an ongoing illness in her band making it harder, and still mourning the loss of Christine McVie, she is in no mood for celebration. She plans on spending a quiet night at home after a show in Florida with her dogs, her music, her journal, some Law & Order SVU and, of course, a carrot cake. So into her solo birthday plans is she that she almost ignores a phone call that leads to a late-night drive that puts a long-standing feud to an end will change the rest of her life...

Everything in Stevie's life seems to have fallen into place in 2014...she and Lindsey are more in love and committed to their (secret) relationship than ever, Christine has returned to her good friend and to the band after 16 years in the English countryside, and Fleetwood Mac is on the road once again with their epic On With The Show world tour! Stevie's happiness on the road, however, is tested by a number of concerns, including Kristen's growing bitterness towards her husband and his "onstage relationship", little Sulamith the dog's advanced age forcing Stevie to look back upon 16 years and reflect on the child she lost long ago, and the dissolving of a long-term Fleetwood Mac marriage that has Mick repeating some old habits that may threaten the happiness Stevie and Lindsey have found together doing what they do best - curling up in hotel suites on tour and locking out the world to enjoy their secret love. Will Stevie and Lindsey's relationship repeat old patterns, or will the magic that has always and forever been Buckingham Nicks survive as they go "on with the show"???
