In the bustling halls of Sejong Middle School, two unlikely best friends, Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk. Though not as wealthy as Kim Dokja, Yoo Joonghyuk kept his financial status low-key, preferring to blend into the background rather than draw attention to himself. Their friendship, though unconventional, thrived on mutual understanding and unwavering support. Little did Kim Dokja know, that his feelings for Yoo Joonghyuk ran deeper than mere friendship. He harboured a secret crush on his best friend, his heart fluttering at the mere thought of him. When Yoo Joonghyuk jokingly proposed to Kim Dokja one day, the latter accepted without hesitation, his hidden affections clouding his judgment. Yoo Joonghyuk, oblivious to Kim Dokja's true feelings, remained unaware of the turmoil brewing within his friend's heart. And as for now, Yoo Joonghyuk still hasn't found out about Kim Dokja's feelings. Yet Kim Dokja still tries to keep it cool, he doesn't want Yoo Joonghyuk to find out about his feelings. Kim Dokja is sick, really sick. He can't bring himself to tell his family and Yoo Joonghyuk Sneak Peak Kim Dokja swayed as he walked his mind was racing. How would he say goodbye? "I won't tell them now, I can't." he sat limply on the couch in a daze. He didn't know how long he sat there in silence until his kids came home. "We're home!" The door opened and light flooded in along with his two kids.

AU- Yoo Joonghyuk meets Kim Dokja on the train and keeps having dreams about the guy, the mysterious guy who seems so familiar. In a nutshell they learn more about each other and Yoo Joonghyuk suffers from dreams, connecting him to the other parallel universe.

Dokja Kim is an unregistered Guide. He has hidden for years and never plans to let an esper control his life. Joonghyuk Yoo is an esper who can't find a guide that can handle his overwhelming energy. Unfortunately for him, once he finds his perfect guide, the guide runs away. Will Dokja be able to escape, or will Joonghyuk finally have his perfect guide? This story is set in the guideverse AU, a universe in which gates and dungeons filled with monsters appear. The only people capable of fighting these monsters are known as espers, they have supernatural abilities, the catch is that those powers can become unstable and consume them, making the espers go on a rampage before eventually dying. The only people capable of stoping the espers from rampaging are the guides, people capable of soothing said espers with physical touch. Warning, there may be trigger warnings in this story such as non-consent, mentions of past suicide attempt, and blood. (This isn't a super depressing story I promise) You do not need to have read ORV to understand this story, but there will be slight spoilers and references to Kim Dokja's backstory. I do not own omniscient Reader's Viewpoint or its characters, the plot of this story is mine. But I would strongly encourage others to write more guideverse fanfics because I love it and it's very rare to find.
