Book 3: Flesh And Bone "You said you had my back." Cristine felt her scalp tingle, neck and facial muscles pulled tight. This conflicting feelings of helplessness and being cornered annoying her greatly. Everything Troy said made her angry and if it was before she wouldn't care about any of this. She'd stay as far away from him as possible and watch it all crash and burn before escaping with her family. But they had a mutual respect for one another now.
