I had to get to safety.**After her parents and younger twin sisters died in a car crash, she had no way to learn to control her gift. She never understood what it was. She never had an idea, since she was too young to remember what happened when she used them, so now, at the age of fifteen, she had a nice foster family, and a lonely life. When she made a mistake to trust Cole, she had to dig herself out, and then try to figure out her real friends, Eli, Blizzard, Cher, Cole, Roxxii, and Micah. On the run, she had to learn to control herself. The stakes were high in the life of Nichole Everett.

I've written this book as an inspiration, that even in the face of huge adversity, you can come out on the other side and make it. It was sometimes an emotional rollercoaster with many trials and tribulations, but the end result was worth it. This book is very special and unique in the sense that it was started and written while I was at the lowest point in my life with no salvation in sight... Protagonists, the most important characters in stories. They're the ones that are supposed to save the world and be a symbol of hope for humanity, the ones that can defeat anything in their way if they want to, the ones whom the reader wants to win and succeed... ...Well atleast thats how a good heroic protagonist should be. I wrote three novels after dropping out of college at 20 years old. My first novel was a disaster, boring characters, recycled plot, and a protagonist so rude even I wanted to punch them. The next two? Absolutely amazing and really well-liked. I was ready to quit writing for good when i suddenly got hit by a car and woke up in someone else's body, someone i don't recognize at all, who goes to the exact same school from my first novel. Yeah. That happened, i'm screwed. Great. Now I'm stuck in a world full of arrogant, clueless students. Why couldn't i have entered one of my better stories?! And if that's not enough, the soul of this body won't stop yelling at me to "give their body back", as if i could do that, while a tiny version of them sits on my left shoulder and a tiny version of my 19 year old self from my past life rides the right shoulder. What even is happening anymore? Sigh...

As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise.
