In the kingdom of Ephedia, Gramorr takes power with the help of Mephisto and Praxina, who become his generals, imposing a reign of terror. The inhabitants are reduced to slavery. Mephisto, though initially loyal to Gramorr, begins to feel remorse and secretly intervenes to help the oppressed. Praxina, though hesitant, disapproves of his actions, remaining loyal to Gramorr while questioning their choices. Gradually, their doubts grow, revealing an internal conflict as they confront the horrors they have helped create.
