Caterina knows that the Valentino family was behind her mother's murder, and is convinced her father wants to take down the Valentinos from the inside. She poses as the perfect fiancée and moves to Italy, but secretly makes it her mission to avenge her mother's death. But little does she know, Lex has a revenge plan of his own. 

Lex has been keeping an eye on the Marchetti family for years and jumps at the chance to get closer to Caterina to avenge his own sister's murder, starting with making Caterina fall head over heels in love with him.
