What happens if you wake up and the world you know is gone? The country you called home is a shadow of its former self, divided and at war. Worst still, the only person you love is missing, lost in this hostile world. This is a bleak portrait of a dis-United Kingdom where North is fighting South, and the rest of the world has been turned upside down. Inspired by a dream (nightmare?) my father had when I was young, I started writing this story years ago and discovered it again recently, determined to finish it. I don't really do science fiction, so this is my first foray into the genre -- though technically speaking this is more alternative history than sci-fi. Let me know what you think!

The countries settled in a new place. The organizations, specifically UN, has set a goal. They want to fix the countries relationships with each other. Specifically, siblings. Knowing how strained the relations are, the organizations worked together to help the countries realize that they will need each other more than ever. On the way they discover an old friendship that had soon kindled into a fierce hatred. How will they attempt to solve these problems? Why were such strange things happening? Will they find their hidden enemy? Or will their enemy find them? And land the first strike?

After the War annihilated most of humanity, the government made a mandatory microchip for each citizen of the Association of America. This microchip sends you a...notification when you meet the person you are destined to be with for the rest of your life. The whole objective behind this chip was to repopulate the earth. It became law to have at least three children, at least one must be a girl. When the law was put into affect, all current citizens were required to get it and each newborn was implanted with it within the first minutes of their life. For 70 years, this process has worked flawlessly. Wendy Hunter received this chip at birth, along with the rest of the population. By the time she hits 18, she thinks she gets her feeling when she meets Jackson Duncan. What she doesn't know is that her whole life is a hoax and the only things that will save her life is following instructions and staying quiet. But not everything works forever.

Due to overpopulation on Earth, the Ministry of Life decides to kill one person a day in order to provide more space for the living people. A computer randomly designates a victim which the government easily eradicates, benefiting the lucky living citizens. But what happens when people try to fight the system, standing up to an already dangerous situation?

After what some may call a massive human extermination, life expectancy on earth is slim to none and whatever is left is basically hopeless. Survivors have split into factions and are forming rival gangs in which they are disappearing at exponential rates due to government kidnappings. Rumor is, the government is planning a meta human attack by altering the dna of those who've been taken. Once word is out everyone has to decide whether gang related battles are more important than life itself as they know it. If that isn't enough they join forces with omniscient beings, extraterrestrials, and some beings that cant really be put into one category. They find that the government isn't all laws and science and that the battle they're facing is way more complex than they could have ever imagined.

I have forgotten what it feels like to be free. To have a voice. I can't say anything, or else they might catch me. My parents would never forgive me. I'll be arrested. Maybe even killed. Probably killed. We didn't open our eyes in time to see the train come barreling down the tracks. It crushed our freedom, burned our self-worth, and now we have to pay the price. All because we didn't see it coming. The American Constitution doesn't apply to us. All of the activists were silenced. And now it's all coming back to bite us. We'll just have to bite back harder. You've just woken in the woods, away from everything you know. You're dazed and confused, unable to comprehend what's just happened. As you are coming to, images flash before your eyes of the last few days. Your parents were taken by the police, you were forced to run, to leave everything behind, to save yourself and your sister. But she isn't here. You panic and look around, you stop. You remember. She too was taken, you are alone. For now. This is what happened to Alexander, his life has just been turned upside down. The year is 2415, the world has both evolved and devolved. It isn't how people imagined. Flying cars, robots in every house, telekinetic pencils. No, they are only in comic books. Self driving cars. No robots in houses, but workhouses instead. Telekinetic pencils... that's possible, if you are gifted with the power of telekinesis. There are dark truths hidden behind closed doors, that only few know. Truths that if they got out, would bring the downfall of the government. A government that has been deceiving people for generations. But they haven't been as careful as they thought, because 100 years ago, one guy found out their secrets. 100 years ago, one guy started the rebellion that would bring about the end. From burning books, rewriting history and breaking human rights, this government will stop at nothing to make it seem that they are doing good. But people have had enough, the secret came out before. It's only a matter of time until it happens again. This time by a group of people that no one expected. Together they work to find out the truth, but things have gotten worse over the last century and this may not only bring around the downfall of the government. Armed only the powers they were born with, the group do everything they can to discover the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. But many have tried and failed, do they really stand a chance? Alexander doesn't think so, but his main concern is finding his sister, Rosia.

There is such a thing called the ring. Where they kill off adults and children. So that way we can protect ourselves from others. We have 24 hours to stay there and they want to try to kill as many people. No one knows who the others Are but they know they are bad. Kim does not want to kill but yet she has to Or else hide she is scared she might die or still be alive but everyone else will be dead. The government is lying... At least that's what she thinks. This is very much like the hunger games!!!!!!!!!!

Once upon a time, five people agreed to be part of a secret experiment. The experiment was meant to give them superpowers. They were promised that their loved ones would not be affected by the experiment, no matter what the outcome was. This was good, as the experiment failed--or so they thought. For one, it was her first child. For another, his second-born. For a third, her third. For the fourth, her fourth, and for the fifth, his first. They were all born with strange powers--powers that nobody could explain, and that put everybody around them in danger. Taken from their parents, the children were raised apart from society. They served a particular purpose. Nothing would go wrong. Until something does... or a lot of somethings.

What if your place in society was determined two centuries before you were born? What if you were resented just for existing? What if you never meant to survive? But I did. I'm an illegal, a drain on society, the descendant of criminals, worthless. I know how to survive and that's all that matters. I never thought I would get, let alone deserved, anything more than that. Why would I? I'm not supposed to even be here. But then I meet them. And him. They aren't supposed to be here either but they are. Could I be part of something bigger? What if is there is something more for me than survival?
