A Zuko X Reader story. As always, I wrote this for myself but you can read it, too, if you'd like. Y/N was an air bender, she was tasked with watching over the avatar as a punishment for something that she had done; something that the air nomads frowned upon her for. When she discovered what had become of her people, she was furious- but not at the Fire Nation, she was furious at Aang, because Aang was supposed to protect them, and he didn't. But was it Aang that she was really angry at?

Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when The Fire Nation attacked. Only The Avatar, master of all four elements can stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished. The next Avatar was to be born an Air Nomad, so The Firelord wiped out The Air Nations. Though hope has left the lives of many, I still believe that one day, he'll come back and end this war... I can feel his breath beating down on my cheek. The realm of Oni and Dragon also called the First Realm is of course what it's name says it is, the first realm in all of existance. The First Realm is a war-ridden world where Dragons, the beings of creation and Oni, the beings of Destruction are constantly fighting eachother. During one of the most violent battles between the leader of the Dragons: Firstbourne and the leader of the Oni their energies collided. From said collision, a being that holds the blood of both Dragon and Oni came to be, and this being is Y/n L/n. Seeing the immeasurable amount of potential and power Y/n held, Firstbourne and Oni fought for who's side he should be in but in the end, Y/n decided to join Firstbourne after seeing the distruction the Oni left behind. After a few years of battling, Y/n put an end to the Oni and banished them into a dark corner of the First Realm. When he was eleven, the Fire Nation raided the Southern Water Tribe, which resulted in his mother's death and his capture, which left his family in agony after losing their mother and older brother. However, three years later, Kaito who was Fourteen unexpectedly returned to the Southern Water Tribe, which left everyone stunned for a bit before welcoming him back. When his family asked what happened to him, he would always avoid answering the questions or just ignore them altogether. He took part in the war with his father and for the past two years had developed not just his water-bending abilities, but also his combat capabilities to the fullest. Before returning home on the order of his father, and traveling to parts of the world, learning different skills. He gained a terrifying reputation under the fire nation that was known to the entire world. The Dragon of the South.
