(DISCLAIMER: This fanfic has elements that strongly relate to a similar story called 'Morphed', by WrathandRain. Check it out, as it is amazing and they used the general beginning far more effectively than me.) Edward has been missing for just over a month, with no leads to his whereabouts in all of that time. People are starting to lose hope in finding him. All besides Roy Mustang, Edwards commanding officer, Maes Hughes, a parental figure to Edward, and Alphonse Elric, Edwards younger brother, believe that the famed alchemist is dead. When they do find the answers they seek, it is not as it seems to be. Nothing is as it should be, and Fullmetal seems to be no more, a uncontrollable and unpredictable being left behind.

Envy somehow survived the Promised Day, but he lost too much in the process. His Stone is running on empty, and with Colonel Mustang on his tail, capture is inevitable. Once he's captured, though... what happens next? Mustang has to have any number of unspeakable punishments prepared for him, but what is that going to do to him? Can he survive this, too, or has he finally reached a dead end? He's about to find out, and the answers he gets... well, they might surprise him.

This fic is about Ed and Envy coming together romantically because their differences, with a bit of problems along the way. They will eventually find their love with all due time... Feel free to correct me on parts I may have forgotten/missed :)

But sometimes just because you can be an adult in some things, doesn't mean you can in others.
