Unlike her peers, Theia Celestine Castro would much rather read a book than go out and party. She invests more time in the bookshop exploring new genres and collecting books that she would probably finish in a day or two.

Not long after her usual routine, she encountered Klein Julius Santiago, one of the popular students in the university, who's somewhat has the same interest as her.

Will they ever become as captivated in each other as they are in books?

"So what's your type?" "What do you mean?" I pause, looking up from my book to meet the eyes of my dear friend. "Type of what?" She shakes her head with a chuckle. Her head then jerks to her boyfriend, busy trying to figure out a solution in his work. "What type of guy do you like?" "I don't really have one." I reply. "Come on, there must be something a guy does that catches your attention." My eyes casually glance around the courtyard, trying to figure out a quick response to her question. But then I hear a voice speak just to the right of us, Professor Abel happily talking to Mr. Levine. "Well?" "Older." I mumble. "Someone older." "Just older?" His deep grey eyes soften slightly in the sunlight. "Someone... colder too." "So you want someone as bad as Professor Abel?" My friend jokes poking my side with her fingers. I snap my head back to her, surprised at her question. To brush off the embarrassment I shrug my shoulders, faking a smile but my heart is pounding furiously. "Haha, very funny." It's as if our conversation has been leaked when my eyes rest back on the tall individual. The grey swirls are staring right back at me, his colleague oblivious of his wandering eyes. His expression is stern but in the light it seems as though his lips are curled up, making my stomach do a flip. "My type." I whisper with a small smile. - When her enemy of a teacher becomes something more than just a person she hates - Completely fictional! 馃 Please vote~ #3 - high (3/10/2024) #1 - student (7/10/2024) #1 - enemies (1/11/2024) #5 - hate (18/11/2024) #1 - lovers (23/11/2024) #12 - heartache (04/01/2025) #4 - teacher (02/03/2025) #3 - teenfiction (14/03/2025) #5 - war (31/03/2025) #1 - high (02/06/2025) #6 - heartache (4/06/2025)

Luliana Grace opened her eyes, a stark white ceiling blurring into focus. A wave of disorientation washed over her, a dizzying tide of confusion and fear. The sterile scent of antiseptic filled her nostrils, bringing back memories of... nothing. Who was she? Where was she? The questions pounded in her mind, a relentless drumbeat of uncertainty. As she tried to piece together the fragments of her existence, a shadow fell across her, obscuring the harsh hospital light. A man stood before her, his face a mask of concern. "Zylene," he said, his voice a soft rumble that sent shivers down her spine. "Don't worry. You're safe now. I'm Mateo... Your husband." A man called her Zylene? And introduced himself as her husband? Her mind reeled. Husband? She had no memory of a husband. No memory of a life. But the man's eyes, a deep, stormy gray, held a strange familiarity. A glimmer of recognition flickered within her, quickly extinguished by the crushing weight of her amnesia. She clung to his words, desperate for an anchor in the swirling chaos of her forgotten life. Mateo, a man of shadows and secrets, watched her with a mix of tenderness and something darker, more dangerous. He was the leader of a vast mafia empire, a man who wielded power like a weapon, a man who thrived in the darkness. But beneath his hardened exterior, a spark of vulnerability flickered, a flicker ignited by the woman whose memory had been stolen from her. He couldn't allow himself to fall for her, to let his heart betray him. It was too dangerous. But a part of him craved her, yearned for her, longed to protect her from the darkness that threatened to consume them both. He had a choice to make. A choice that could alter the course of their lives forever.

In the first second that I laid my eyes on you, everything that I have ever wanted out of life flashed right before my eyes. I could envision us going on picnics, stuffing our faces until we felt sick, holding hands until there was nothing but sweat between us, and introducing you to my parents in hopes that they would love you just an ounce of the way that I loved you. I could see us fighting over the remote only to end up not paying attention to the television program at all. And most of all, I could see you meaning something special to me- being that one consistent person in my life. But that second soon ended and I did not even know your name. Avery Davenport is an artist chaos. On the outside, a girl with her head in books, paint on her fingertips, and one foot in front of the other. On the inside, a girl with hate in her heart, regret in her veins, and self-loathing in her every system. Following a tragic turn of events, she begins to spiral. A tragic and fatal ending that she didn't have the answers to completely causes her to unravel. Pain slowly begins to be masked in the beds of the boys she meets, in her dark and quiet room, and subsequently on the ledge of her dorm room balcony. She didn't believe in hope or happy endings, never having conjured up one for herself or others, not until she met him. Dean Carter is all things remarkable. On the outside, a boy with ironed clothes, hair always perfected, and an ever dashing smile that could melt one's every sorrow. On the inside, a boy with cognizance in his brain, hope in his veins, and loneliness in his heart. Everything in his life has happened according to plan. His every happiness stems from medical books, sunsets, and seeing his loved ones smile. He has never been in love, never so much as thought about a girl beyond what left her lips, not until he met her. Please read the foreword for trigger warnings and disclaimers.
