[ EDITING] James Potter was a skilled and talented wizard, his name a renowned one amongst Hogwarts students. Many knew him because of his outstanding Quidditch skills, most because of his infatuation with Lily Evans, but everyone knew he was a key member of the infamous Marauders that tormented the castle on a daily basis. Everyone thought he was an open book, easy to read, easy to keep up with. No one really understood how a chap as charming as James Potter would end up falling in love with Alexis Riddle, a renowned name in her own right, for being Lord Voldemort's little sister that is. After falling in love with Sirius Black once, Remus doesn't think he can do it again. The Marauders (plus Lily, of course) all moved in together after Hogwarts, so when the most responsible one announces his desire to go to America, it was a surprise. Of course, how can they say no to Remus? A sweet and fluffy (and angsty, who could forget? but if you've been reading my fics long enough you know i can't write a fic without the angst) fic in which the Marauders realize love isn't quite as far away as they assumed. // 2018
