Sequel to My Little Pony: A Strange New World. Twilight travels through the magic mirror and is reunited with her friends' human counterparts, as well as Sunset Shimmer, who is still struggling with letting go of her past and is plagued by nightmares about her monstrous self. The girls band, The Rainbooms compete in the school's Battle of the Bands in order to defeat the three girls, The Dazzlings, before they turn the whole school against each other.

Twilight, an introverted bookworm who had to leave her friends behind is new to Canterlot High. Sunset Shimmer is an estranged girl with a troubled past she desperately wishes to break away from. Out of place and friendless, both girls find a place where they can be themselves, but what happens when Sunset awakens feelings in Twilight that she can't explain. The Friendship Games are coming up, and things are all heated up when Canterlot High goes up against their arch rivals, Crystal Prep the Shadowbolts who have always won every year, but that's not the only thing that Sunset Shimmer and the others have to worry about. Sunset starts getting suspicious after she saw a couple of what she didn't know yet were familiar faces hanging out in front of the school doing some snooping of their own.

Sunset lives with Starlight, the vampire who turned her. One day she and her friends, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity hear that a new student is transferring to CHS. They are all excited to welcome a new wondercolt to their school. Sunset and Pinkie Pie are the ones who decide to greet the new student. Upon meeting the student, whose name is Twilight Sparkle, Sunset realizes she has developed a crush on her. But being a vampire means that she could pose a danger to Twilight. She struggles to keep her vampiric nature a secret. But when an old enemy from Starlight's past comes into town, she realizes they are in danger. She and Starlight must keep their much stronger, much older enemy out of town. If they don't they could risk revealing their secret to all of Canterlot, if not all of Equestria.

A battle is happening between Canterlot High School and Crystal Prep. Interested, Deku and even more of his classmates join! However, it seems like they aren't the only ones from there to join; as many more heroes from other schools join Crystal Prep! Along with a mysterious person who seems to be stealing magic!

(DISCLOSURE: this story is half SoarinDash, half additional plot stuff, which is usually what I do, so enjoy!) Canterlot High thought it would be free after their hectic Friendship Games and their terrifying time at Camp Everfree, and it really did seem like it at the time. For once, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie thought their junior year would just be school. But things get a little crazy. Again. And it's not all about magic this time. Everyone hoped that Cadence would take over Crystal Prep's principal position, but Cadence never took the role. She got another offer abroad and decided to take it. And the students of Crystal Prep and Canterlot High will face the wrath of Principal Dolores Cinch -- the sister of Principal Abacus Cinch. She wants a rematch of the Friendship Games, with a few "minor" adjustments to the intensity. Dolores Cinch is up to no good. And Canterlot is in for some turbulence. But what's worse? Cinch has her eyes on a certain rainbow-haired girl as the trigger to her plan, whatever it may be. ALSO SOARINDASH!!! This is also a SoarinDash fanfic, haha!
