Ever since Sirius's escaped from his family, James cannot stop wondering if Regulus is alright now that he is alone. James tries to talk to Regulus when they return to Hogwarts, hoping to become closer to him. He knows he should not approach Regulus. He knows Regulus is his best friend's younger brother. He knows Sirius would be furious. But he also knows that the curiosity of the forbidden and the allure of secrets make him feel alive. Once actions are taken, they cannot be undone. 1/3 So it starts when Regulus is in fifth year (15-year-old) and James is in sixth year (16-year-old). The dates might not be accurate but just go with it. After a horrible relationship, Regulus was found crying in the hall and James found him. James comforted him and then they went back to James' room. And that's how it starts. Some pregnancy scares and pregnancy at the end of the story. (just to have some drama for the next generation). Let's rewind... It's 1976 and Regulus is returning for his fifth year at Hogwarts. With one of the worst summers of his life behind him, he's slightly glad to be back at the castle. Regulus is looking forward to a relaxing year spent focusing on his studies and lounging in the library. Only, Regulus' plans are derailed after runs into (quite literally) the one and only James Potter. It seems passing the year is the least of Regulus' problems- with the dark lord's influence growing into his inner circle, new blossoming feelings for his brother's best friend who he should hate, and a prank that goes too far.
