After Coriolanus Snow returns to the Capitol and begins his internship with Dr. Gaul as well as University, he feels the need to blend in more and the best way to do that is by finding a girl that he cannot love. Livia Cardew is the perfect fit. While he attempts to distract himself from his moments in district 12, he struggles to deal with the idea of Lucy Gray being alone wandering through the woods holding his deepest secrets, or even worse... being dead from a gun he shot at her. *I've attempted to make this as realistic as possible to what most likely happens as Snow rises to power*

While assigned to this district, he accidentally meets a girl who he begins to grow very fond of, breaking the rules of being a peacekeeper. Coriolanus has always been known to hate district people, but Avery Spade is very different. She becomes the object of his obsession.

After Lucy Gray's death silenced the entire District, Coriolanus, in dire need of a distraction, turns to baby-sitting Sejanus, his best friend, and making sure he doesn't get into any trouble. However, it turns out that he has already done the damage and Coriolanus discovers that he is going to be arrested. With no where else to turn, the pair leaves their fate to the untaimed wilderness of the forrest's surrounding the District.

Coriolanus is determined to rise up in the Capitol and feels like he owns Lucy Gray. Coriolanus Snow left Lucy Gray 12 years ago. Lucy Gray was forced to move back to district 12 because of the baby. She wasn't able to provide for him alone in the woods. Her son, Julian Gold Baird, is now old enough to be put in the reaping. As his name gets pulled for the boy tribute, Lucy Gray falls to the ground. *A short story*
